gutted to say the least cause i am actually broke i need this cash through to survive
few of us in that boat.....keep at em, write an email to the CEO and complain.
It might not do much, well, actually a lot have had success from doing such, but at least it highlights your case as a little more urgent, and someone higher up the chain can look into it for you.
I wrote one yesterday morning to mine, and I got a phone call back later in the day. Felt a little fobbed off, but at least someone rang back!0 -

I won't be banking with them either they upheld my claim 3 weeks ago and when it went to the calculations team they said i never had ppi on creditcards they really built my hopes up they all need to be fired they haven't got a clue:mad:0 -
I wonder if anyone could help me and offcumden with the query on M&S calculations?
My figures were
£1260.82 for PPI charges
£850.22 Contractual Interest
£2.86 Statutory Interest
There were no details as to how these figures were arrived at but do they seem accurate? The CC ran from Oct 2003 until Sept 2010 with varying balances.
Regards

BUMP
Well I think I may be in with a chance of winning.
I received a letter yesterday, sixteen weeks after my original complaint stating that they are unable to respond directly on a case-by-case basis however, on this occasion they are prepared to uphold my complaint.
They go on to state that the offer £1771.42 will effectively return the premiums I've paid.
The breakdown of how the offer was calculated shows
Total amount of Insurance charged £1018.15
Contractual Interest £753.26
8% Statutory Interest £0.01
The CC account has been running since the 1990's and I have a
Certificate of Insurance dated May 2003 increasing the PPI monthly cost
to 75 pence per £100 outstanding balance.
Statements for March 2005 and June 2006 show outstanding balances of £3249 and £4400 with respective premiums of £23.89 and £34.16.
The Without Prejudice Offer letter does not give any detail as to how they have arrived at the figures or the period they cover nor any contact details other than a prepaid envelope. It does not state it is their final offer only that I may refer it to the FOS if disatisfied and that the offer will be withdrawn six weeks from the date of the letter.
I look forward to the experts thoughts and recommendations as I feel pretty certain that the amount offered is likely to have been understated
For my part I fully intend to question how they have arrived at their offer and if they don't justify with dates and figures I will leave them in no doubt that I am more than happy to take them to the FOS.
I have to make a couple of calls to check out some information which I believe will help us both, if you can hang on over the week end I'll post as soon as I can:beer:
I have read your other post re the veiled threat0 -
