    Hi there

I take it you received the acknowledgement letter, to confirm receipt of your complaint?

There is no harm in ringing to ask for an update, but otherwise wait until the exact 16 weeks, its up to you.

Hope this means a good outcome, fingers crossed.;)

Good news came home today to a cheque from EGG for £640.98 CC PPI refund. It states we will be refunding you all premiums charged to your account, with associated interest, in addition, interest at the rate of 8% has also been calculated on any amount(s) where your balance would have been in credit had the CRP Premium(s) not been charged to your account.

Im delighted! Just got Capital One to chase and await Ulster Bank getting back to me! My boyfriend is also waiting on an Ulster Bank decision.

Im also going to do it for my last two car finance deals with BlackHorse and RCI Financial Services.

And to think my mum got hassled by a claim company stating she could be owed £21000 on her mortgage PPI if she used them! I answered the phone to this pushy guy one night stating I could do it myself! He told me it wasnt as easy as just one letter! Hahaha how I have proven him wrong! Going to chase Nationwide for my mum now too!

Thank you so much to all the inspirational ppl on this forum! You guys are the reason I am now virtually debt free!!!:j
  • Hi, today i received a second rejection letter from Lloyds TSB, so i'm going to refer it to the ombudsman. I have a question, and I am hoping someone can help. Can I cancel the PPI and save paying £45 per month til the loan finishes next November and still refer the claim to the FOS. I seem to remember about a month ago reading in these posts someone cancelling their PPI before claiming and been told this was wrong. I can't find the post, but i might have just got hold of the wrong end of the stick. I read the posts daily and love reading about the successes, it gives you hope.
  • Hi first time poster
Iv been lurking around for a few weeks so i decided to send off a few claims on a few PPI i had
I had a few knockback BUT
I took out a loan for a car in 2007 and completed a questioner about PPI which clearly shows that i did not need PPI yet it was put on the loan, so i sent off my claim to Blackhorse.
I get a letter to day saying that they did not sell the policy as it was at the point of sale so are forwarding my letter to the place i took out the loan .
    Quote:
As we did not sell this policy we do not consider that we are responsible for any concerns that you may have regarding the sale of this policy you may consider this to be our final response on this matter.

I think that as the place was acting as agents to sell this policy they should be responsible and should have regulated there agents
    Any thoughts on this
  • Just informed by Halifax that I have a calculations letter on its way to me for 3 loans PPI to the sum of £8500.00 yippeee!!!

I also have one of my CC PPI reclaims coming in the post aswell. No sure of the figures though.. another win never the less..

I still have 1 loan and 2 other CC's to come gonna be a very exciting next 7 days...

Good luck to every one else still waiting and well done to all the recent winners...:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

  • Please could we have advice on PPI as we have claimed and offered 1042 from HSBC. We paid the credit cards in full but HSBC is now saying they can take this money to pay a debt they sold on to Mercantile of which we receive a letter saying account closed in 2007and did not hear from them until we claimed this PPI.We have not read about this or seen it on any paperwork.

Hi there, dont cancel the ppi,the loan will be reset and you may pay more a month and the term could be extended.
Wait for the outcome of your mis sell,if you win the total ppi is taken off the loan and you get ppi paid to date,by the time this loan is nearly finished, you could have the loan paid off with the win and get the rest back to you.

Hi there, did you pay this debt off with mercantile?,if you did, the redress should come back to you.
Not sure where you stand if the debt was not paid back, someone will post and tell you if they can do this.
