  • Patience.....? You have to be kidding, if the shoe was on the other foot do you think that a simple phone call to the bank to tell them to be patient would be considered acceptable. No I did not think so...

These banks are taking us all for a ride...first they fraudulently take this money then they drag it out once a court case orders them to return it. I am so disgusted with this whole situation...then to hear that people are defending their slow responses.. it just amazes me...:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

£250 for the Inconvenience and distress this has caused.

  • Well

Looks like I am off to FOS with this one, sent another letter to them asking them to take into consideration other points after my first rejection letter. Received another letter yesterday rejecting my PPI claim, they sent me a photocopy of what I signed, it is so small I cant even make out what it says!

Keep my fingers crossed that someone else wins with them!

    Good Luck to all!

So sorry to hear that Josh and I know how disheartening this can be, but you stay strong now and get that complaint to the FOS, they will sort this out for you now.

I would also be inclined to write back to the business and tell them how disappointed you are to have been knocked back with your genuine reasons for making a reclaim, as a valued customer you felt they would seriously take your reasons into consideration, but now feel you have no option but to take this further to the FOS with evidence you do have to support your case.

(You never know it "may" make them come to another decision) but do continue to complain to the FOS anyway, you can soon cancel if the business decide to change the decision.

All crossed here for you xx;)

  • Hi again

Just rang First Plus again re ppi complaint response, waited the allotted 16 weeks, and told me should get a letter in the next couple of weeks or so. Is it just me but this just is not good enough! Told me I could go to the FOS, when I asked the lady what this would achieve, she replied nothing. Seems to me the banks know there will be no redress if they do not stick to the court rulings.
