I had mine money paid into my account from lloyds exactly 1 week after getting my settlement letter. If you have selected payment by cheque be warned this can take upto a further 28 days for payment
Am sure I read either on this thread or another thread yesterday that people were starting to be told the banks were only making payments by cheque now as it was easier for them than BACS??0 -

Thats right, they told me yesterday. I wanted mine paid straight into my account as I want to pay off my existing loan, but they said no more payments were being done thru BACS and it was now quicker to get a cheque!!0 -
How many thousands of claims do you think they have to do, patience is what is required.
I'm sorry, but why should I have any concern for the banks in this regard. Thats no excuse for dragging their designer heels.
Read what I wrote again careful and maybe then you will understand the point that I was making.
On a positive note...
I actually recieved my calculations for my loan PPI redress today. Letter was dated 15th of September.
I'll be recieving £1650 courtesy of Lloyds TSB. More than I thought, so pretty chuffed. Lets see how long it takes them to post out the cheque! I hope they get a move on as I've got a holiday to book.:rotfl:
I'll have to find some of that patience that only_mee suggested.
edit: Acceptance letter was logged with them on 30th August.2018 wins: Hong Kong holiday0 -

My complaint to EGG CC was declinned in August. My complaint was that I did not actively chose to accept PPI with my CC, it was an internet application in 2001 and I believe it was a pre-ticked box. I also only worked part-time at that time.
The reason for declinning is that I did not have to have the PPI, they do not provide an advisory service, they required me to positively confirm that I wished to purchase PPI during the online application process and they provided full terms and conditions.
I therefore sent a SAR which I received this morning. They have sent me a screen shot from the application process that shows my personal details, but no where does it ask me questions regarding requiring PPI. It just has a box that says PPI Indicator 1.
EGG's letter was their final response, but I am tempted to write back and ask them to re-consider. Can anyone here please give me any feedback as to what they would do, and does anyone know if EGG were definately using a pre-ticked method for PPI back in 2001.
Thank you for your time and comments.

hi there, i just received my calculations and cheque from the fscs - could someone pls give their opinion on it as niggly looked at my figues and i was hoping for about 5 or 6 grand more...i will need to contact them if i dont agree with what they have offered, so if anyone is around today to help out i would be most grateful!
Original PPI Premium: £11,477.00
PLUS Interest charged to date on ppi payments: £ 4,350.26
LESS Benefits Received (No claims rebate): £ 5,600.76
LESS Rebate due upon cancellation: £0.00
PLUS Reasonable Rate of Return (compensation): £ 103.92
TOTAL COMPENSATION: £ 10,330.42
PAYOUT (90% paid after the initial £2000): £9697.38
the figures niggly worked out for my are on page 2 of 'how the fos calculate refunds' thread. it might be that the fscs dont follow the same sort of rules, but i feel something may have been missed here - or am i wrong and this all looks ok!
*i think its because i will be paying interest for the next 15 years that i feel i shold be compensated more for this??? but my letter states the fscs are following the fsa rules on paying compensation so i dont know.....
any help much appreciated.

whatthe**help wrote: »Just received a letter upholding our compalin for PPI on a loan taken out in 2004.
They have advised it to be a full refund of the initial PPI plus the associated interest up to the present day :j
initial contact was with Loans.co.uk (online) they added a lump sum of £4000.00 for PPI,which now looking at it would have been useless as my husband was self employed & I only worked part time.
Plus the policy only covered the 1st 5years of the loan (which we were not made aware of) so would have been uncovered for the remainder of the loan, 10 years !!
We only sent the letter 27th Aug 2011 and they have replied upholding our complaint, so no need to go to the FOS (Yet).
Lets hope they are as quick with their calculated offer.
:money:Thanks MSE for the advise & encouragement from other forum users, without you we wouldnt even have known we were owed a penny.
Have also sent letters to Lloyds for trustcard & Mastercard, they say they should get back to us by early December, as they have been given extra time by the FOS .
Will keep you posted
Hiya, congrats on the loans.co.uk result - but wondering if you wouldn't mind keeping me updated with the progress. I have had an upheld letter from them in August, but as they are listed as 'non trading' I am just worried they will fold completely & we will be left high n dry!! They have been listed as non-trading for a long time & still sent out these letters, so am hoping be ok, but would be just my bloomin luck!! :eek:Keep Smiling- It makes people wonder what you're up to!!!

ok, ive looked again at my paperwork and just as i was about to ring the fscs to ask about future interest i will be paying but havent been compensated for, i saw the following: "The compensation only covers actual losses. It does not aim to cover future or hypothetical losses"
so i wont get additional interes - but then again, i have been given the ppi total amount back , minus my rebate - but havent been given back what ive paid out in premiums. god im so confused - should i get the ppi amount back, and the premiums too? or is that wrong?0 -
