Hi.they should give this back to you, unless the loan is in arrears, then they can take this off the loan.
See what they come back with.

Thanks, no arrears on the loan, I should of read the letter a bit more, one part says I understand that the offer will take in to account any arrears on my account. The remaining balance, if any, will then be paid to my Natwest Current account.

i also had an upheld letter yesterday from Haliax - doesnt give the amount just illustrations of how they come to calculations. Apparently they pay you by cheque and you should not alter their letter sent.

As i have an account with them ive enlcosed a letter saying this is my account for funds to be deposited.

WELL DONE TO ALL WINNERS AND ALL WHO HAD UPHELD LETTERS

FOR THOSE STILL WAITING - ITS GONNA BE WELL WORTH THE WAIT

Claim put in to Egg at the end of May to reclaim PPI on 14k loan taken out in 2006 and repaid by March 2010
Filled in the form after reading advice on this site, sent it off received an acknowledgement after a week, then a more time needed letter, a further one about the waiver. Then last night I came home to a letter to say they were upholding my claim and there was a cheque for £3500!

Happy days!

Still waiting to hear from NatWest on a credit card PPI claim tho...!

:rotfl::j:beer: WELL DONE :beer::j:rotfl:

& best of luck with your NatWest CC ;)

• I started my claim for PPI against Barclays in March 2010 i had an £8000 loan and PPI total of £1950.

I have just got a reply from Barclays with an offer of £4300 which will be payed direct into my account! WOW!!!!! I can hardly beleive it!

It may have taken over a year to do but it has all been worth it!

Not sure how long it will take for the money to come through now?

Hi folks,
I got 2 x letters from London & Edinburgh telling me about the change on my policies to Aviva on 22nd August. Since I couldnt think of any direct debits to L & E, I started digging and through Google I found this amazing MSE Forum which is incredibly supportive, helpful and very addictive .
Bottom line I have discovered that I have been paying PPI on a series of loans via LTSB Personal and Business. I went back to my paperwork and I think I have good evidence of misselling - one letter even says "has full payment protection in the same way as your existing LTSB loan" - not very optional !
Now I have started digging I have become addicted to getting to the bottom of things and wondered if you could help me with the following questions .
1. I want to find out all of the loans and credit cards that I have ever had. Do I do that via something like Experian or a SAR to LTSB ?
2. I have had a Morgan Stanley credit card back in around 2004 which I paid off by balance transfer, I dont have any paperwork on it, how do I find out my credit card number please and what is the contact address/telephone numbers please ?
3. I have had a Capital One card and I can see PPI on that too - do you have contact address / phone numbers for claiming PPR from them please ?
Thanks very much in advance

OMG. Finally got my letter today from RBS after putting claim in last August. Result - claim is upheld and offer of over £14,000 refund on my PPI. Posted off the acceptance letter and just have to wait now for the money to go into my bank account. Worth noting that they say they will endeavor to make payment within 28 WORKING days in receipt of acceptance form so that could be 5/6 weeks wait for cash.

Thanks to everyone on here for being so positive and keeping my spirits up. Have persuaded my OH to make a claim on his MBNA card so off we go again!

Will keep you all up to date with date I actually get the cash.

Was the RBS a credit card, or loan?

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Hi
Just to try and set your expectations - I sent my acceptance letter which they received and scanned into their systems on 9th August. Phoned them 3 times to find out when the payment will be made, 1st call was 4-5 working days, 2nd call was 28 days and the call to them yesterday was 4-5 weeks. Just sit tight and well done with your claim.
