Got a cheque through the post this morning from Capitol One, very easy and all done within 8 weeks.

Thanks to everyone on here for their help and advice (mainly gotten through lurking though!)

  • ive read these threads twice daily for 3 months never dreamed i would be sucessful just had upheld from lloyds :j dont know how much they paying me but even a pound in my pocket is better than in theirs. i also claimed back my bank charges thanks to :money: fantastic website

I had a call from MBNA telling me that my first card should be sorted next week, but the woman told me that their policy is to pay off the card in all but extreme circumstances, which apparently the FOS agrees with. My card is not in arrears, and although I intend to clear the card myself, I would prefer the choice. I am not really moaning, but a little peeved. Does anyone have anything they can refer me to as an argument against this? thanks

    Aha

Thanks for the update on this

Didnt realise Co Op had taken part in the JR (as their website implies) but that changes everything

Hardly inkeeping with their "ethical banking" approach, now is it?

Nope and have you seen there new strap line?

Easy to do business with as they are 'open, honest, easy and fair'

Yeah right- very very sneaky how they were involved in that- plus if you look at there published accounts its not like they are shy of a few million in capital- pure liquid capital that is

If they are so bloody ethical they should do as per Barclays, hold there hands up and pay it all back

You could argue that you have a more urgent need for the money, and want it paid direct to you.
