    Hi N,
I have copies of my credit card statements with the PPI & interest on them for Lloyds. When i send in my claim does it mean they just owe me just the PPI or the PPI & the interest?

    Hi,
    I Have had 2 successes so far:2 EGG loans - £710.80 :rotfl:and RBS Credit Card - £52.14!:j
Egg loan from Sept '05 to July '06 :
    PPI premium on loan £1379.34
Less any PPI premium refund taken off loan £961.02
Refund of interest charged on PPI premium at contractual loan rate £87.17

Egg loan from August '04 to Dec '04 :
    PPI premium on loan £1085.70
Less any PPI premium refund taken off loan £910.88
Refund of interest charged on PPI premium at contractual loan rate
    £30.49

RBS Credit Card - £52.14 as it was an interest free period!

I'm sure Niggly who seems to be the maths wizard on here would agree that EGG gave me a fair amount back as the loans were both paid off early?!

I am now going to tackle Lloyds about 2 loans and credit cards, and EGG credit card and Nat west credit card!;)

    S.

Figs look fine Basically The ppi less the rebate on early settlement then 8% simple interest on the balance

    Hello.
I just picked up this morning's mail and was delighted to find a final offer on my loan PPI claim with HBOS.
The offer is as follows : "As our final response, we would like to offer you a refund of all the PPI premiums paid (inclusive of interest), plus simple interest at 8%."

I can't understand how to work out what is what in regard to the actual value of the offer, so perhaps someone here could help me with that?

Loan of £4,500 @ 6.5% APR over 48 months - repayment was £127.23 per month.

    Loan commencement date - 8th March 2004
    Loan settlement date - 4th June 2008

Thanks all - without this forum and the help from this site, I might never have had this letter in front of me today!

PPI is £900 plus interest of £124.49 paid on loan is £1024.49
    Then 39 months 8% simple £266.37

    Total refund is £1290.86

The loan would have cost you £106.72
Add £900 takes the payments to £128.06
    So ppi is £900

Thanks ever so much for replying to me Amersall.

    You may be able to clear the following for me too now that I have more info to hand;

My big loan which I am being refunded the PPI on, the total PPI on this amounted to £6,385.50. I paid it for around 34 months and the PPI I paid on my installments, not including interest, was £2,584.61. I have just called HBOS and was advised that when I settled I was given a PPI rebate of £1,850.38.

Now, if I do my maths correctly I reckon there is a PPI black hole of about £1,950 which the bank are still due me on top of what I physically paid. Is this correct?

    To summarise, on this particular loan I think I am due back;

    1) The PPI repayments made over the 34 months plus the interest charged on each PPI payment as per the loan agreement.

    2) Simple interest of 8% on each repayment from date paid up to PPI claim settlement date.

    3) The balance of the PPI as explained above.

    4) Simple interest of 8% on the PPI balance at 3) from date of settlement of loan to date of settlement of PPI claim.

I have a smaller HBOS loan from about eleven years ago which I settled late 2003, I know I am due the thick end of £1,500 to £2,000 on that too but again I think I am likely to be due some PPI back after rebate on this too, the figures I am unclear of though!

    Any help appreciated!!

Thats correct as long as the ppi was added as a Loan at the start of the policy.:T:T:T:T:T

    Hi gang
I have had two good results of the past couple of days. Firstly yesterday I receiveda letter from Barclays. I had e-mailed the CEO at the end of July explaining that on looking at my credit file (I had only looked at this to get info on all my old credit cards and loans) an old loan that I had had with them was still showing "active" even though it had been paid off totally many years ago. So yesterday I received a letter stating that they will refund me the £10 SAR fee and also £40 for inconvenience of this being overlooked.

Today I received a letter from RBS regarding an old Nat West credit card stating that they are upholding my complaint and offering me £2483 as a gesture of goodwill - it never had a large amount on it but they have actually gone back to 2001! The thing that worries me with this though they state in the letter that they will pay if off the account if the card is still active or if we owe any other monies to thier group!!! Other than this they will send a cheque. We have old accounts with Tesco CC and Mint CC that we still owe amounts on so do you think they will pay this amount off these accounts. The actual Nat West account that this PPI was for was paid off in full long ago.

  • Hi All....

Ive been lurking here and reading updates for some time now and finally got around to posting off a couple of old loan claims to MBNA and Egg loans just a couple of weeks ago.

Ive had letters back from both acknowledging receipt.

However, Ive since gone through my old chequebook stubs and found payments to several Credit card companies going back to 2001.
Only problem is that I have absolutely no paperwork whatsoever associated with any of these.
I only have name of credit card and the dates that I made payments to them.

Is it worth my while attempting any sort of claim off any of them ?

and if so, what sort of approach should I take ?

Thanks in advance for any info
