Looking for any suggestions. All my paperwork is lost but I contacted Black horse re loans I had taken between 1999 and 2004 with PPI, although self employed. I asked for the credit agreements during this time and forwarded relevant addresses but they wrote back they could find no record. What now?

Any old banking statements should show the loan account numbers, if you bank online you may get to find the loan account numbers next to the monthly repayment.
You can then just continue to make a reclaim if you have the account numbers, strange then that they suddenly find the data to the loans.;)

    Hi gang,

Hope you're all well and having lots of successes. We are currently in the twilight zone; the 15th of Aug has been and gone, my sister's bank balance is minus another £300, and no sign on the horizon of the nightmare ever ending.
    Fingers crossed for us all.

    Hiya

Thank you for your update and hope this is sorted out very soon, fingers crossed.;)

    Cheers matey

And as soon as I know the figures, rest assured so will you.

I didn't do a SAR, so I truly have no idea what the loans will pay to be honest, I don't think I ever had one for less than £5k and I think most were around £7.5k.

Also, one replaced the other, so no idea how long I paid them for, nor what rebate was received when I cleared them.

The current loan was for £21k over 24 years and has run for around 5 years. The monthly premium is £128

So looking forward to it being restructured.

As a guess, I reckon the PPI is about £30, so I'll probably get around £1800 back in premiums from this one alone, but the new restructured loan should only be around £100 per month which will help a lot.

The credit card is 13 years old and for around 10 of those years from memory it was at or around the limit. I seem to remember the limit was £3,500, yet something in the back of my mind tells me it may have been as high as £5,500.

I have cleared it many times over the years, but this could well be one of the big claims, such as the ones I have enjoyed reading about.

    Fiingers crossed :D

Oops almost missed this Ian :o:D

Well done to you honey, Congratulations!:T:beer::j

hi everyone, was wondering if you could help please, just had a letter from mbna saying my ppi claim has been upheld and passed on to there calculations team to work out my refund, they have been really good throughout but i would like a rough idea of how much to expect back...my loan details are as follows....loan amount was 7500.00, ppi was 1425.13,(total-8925.13,) credit charge for loan was 2195.75 and interest payable at 9.4% over 60 months at 185.34 per month. i repaid the loan a year early but had a fee added on for paying it off early can't remember how much that was, i repaid the loan in january 2008. any help working a rough guestimate out would be appreciated. thanks.

    Well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

I'm sure someone will be here at some point who will check them over for you.;)

    Barclays Update

Been checking my account every morning and nothing, so spent 78mins on hold this afternoon and finally got through. However, the lady I spoke to at first couldnt find my acceptance letter (despite me being told on 19th that they had received it and scanned it into their systems on 9th August). She then searched on my postcode and found it - however (yet again) the reason that they have not made a payment is that the acceptance letter was not scanned onto my case and the status was still showing as "waiting on customer). She did apologise and said she would change the status and send an urgent email to the payment team requesting that they make the payment tomorrow (should be in my account 4-5 working days from then) which surprise surprise takes it to the 31st August (the deadline)!! She has also promised to call me back tomorrow to confirm that the payment has been made (holding my breath, crossing my fingers, etc).

I really didnt want to keep calling them especially as I had already had confirmation that the had received my acceptance and didnt want to clog the line for other people to try and get through but think the moral of my story is that you have to keep on at them and remember to get the name of the person you are speaking to.

As soon as the payment hits my account, I will post an update with smilies!!!

Good luck to everyone else with their claims

    Hi

Just as well you made that call then :T good for you.:j

Today I recieved a letter from capital one offering me £1800 inc interest for the mis-sold PPI.

It was very easy, I followed the tips on money saving expert, sent my first letter off for t & c's which took 2 weeks for a response.

In the response they also provided me with a copy of my original signed agreement which clearly showed a tick in the NO box for PPI.

Once I had recieved this, I sent a copy of the Ombudsman questionare, along with a copy of the signed agreement and a covering letter which I found on Google.

8 weeks later I recieved a letter offering compensation.

I am very happy with my result and it was the best £1 I have ever spent. :rotfl:

    Hi Steve and welcome.

That is fab, well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

    Hi folks

Just a quick update to my posts last week

LLoyds TSB have fuinally coughed up the agreed to amount (a little over £2500) almost 2 months after I accepted it together with a cheque for £100 for my 'inconvenience'.

My wife is in possession of a letter from them stating that they are 'calculating her claim' (I offered to lend them my calculator but they ignored this, I think they thought I was being sarcastic) but expect to have it settled by 31 August. They had better get a wiggle on or they might just be writing another cheque out

Thanks for your help folks and good luck to you all

LOL love it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: well at least you offered :D:rotfl::rotfl:.

    And well done and Congratulations!

Hi guys well done all the winners over last few days I was rejected (well hubby actually) by capital one and sent it to fos 28th march 2011 got phone call on Monday 22nd from adjudicator wanting to speak to him about or complaint (this is what they do to get your side) when I told her he works late she said she would email the questions to him and just to return the answers via email this is great as I can help him do this instead of him speaking to her as i've done all the hard work and don't want him saying wrong thing. Just wanted to post that to get to this first stage it's been 5 months I know a few people have sent theirs to fos hope this give them an idea on their complaints.
No news on any of mine this week but still hoping think my postie thinks I fancy him as I'm at the door every morning to greet him lol

    Hiya

Thank you for posting this up and yes this will certainly give others hope, cheers for that.;)

well done to all winners today.

i have no good news - i think the post mans off sick as i havent had any letters today.

got through to citi explanation re opus -

rang opus complained to them as no one call back or does what they say there gonna do. they have now changed their tune to everyone should be getting a letter by the 31.8.11.

apparently 1 was sent to me yesterday - ready to hear what it say??????? in short we have your complaint you will get a responce october.

EXCUSE ME - has the time now jumped to 20 weeks? as my calculations are for 2nd week of Sept.

WHAT CAN I DO?????? i have even given them the original recorded delivery number but its like they dont care so they have dont my complaint from the date i sent a chaser letter in requesting a present position.

i guys the lady i was speaking to was now annoyed i was annoyed shes also put a complaint in about dpa - and me receiving someone elses statement.

i have honestly had enough of them - i am so glad i am no longer a customer.

    Hi Rae

Contact them and ask them why have they yet been given more time?
I would also ring the FSA and question them on this. I would also ask the bank if the FSA have given them again more time.

Surely you should be awarded further redress for this.

Keep at them as well hon and good luck x;)
