Well done, but aren't they part of the faster payments service, if they are you should get your money within a couple of hours, I can't believe this with the banks at the moment.
    Well done though:j:j:j:D

    Hi Smitchy

I don't know about the faster payments service but I can only guess that they will make a payment via BACS (3 day payment cycle) as I don't have a Barclays personal account which I would imagine that they would credit immediately. Personally and perhaps cynically I think they are wanting to hang onto the money until the deadline!!

I admit I am so frustrated with the whole process and the waiting is the hardest part once you have accepted their offer. Hopefully, there is light at the end of the tunnel

  • Hi folks

Just a quick update to my posts last week

LLoyds TSB have fuinally coughed up the agreed to amount (a little over £2500) almost 2 months after I accepted it together with a cheque for £100 for my 'inconvenience'.

My wife is in possession of a letter from them stating that they are 'calculating her claim' (I offered to lend them my calculator but they ignored this, I think they thought I was being sarcastic) but expect to have it settled by 31 August. They had better get a wiggle on or they might just be writing another cheque out

Thanks for your help folks and good luck to you all

Need to make sure I get the letter posted tommorow and hope they stick to the promise of 15 working days after receipt for the BACs transfer. I wont belive its real til it hits the bank. :)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi guys well done all the winners over last few days I was rejected (well hubby actually) by capital one and sent it to fos 28th march 2011 got phone call on Monday 22nd from adjudicator wanting to speak to him about or complaint (this is what they do to get your side) when I told her he works late she said she would email the questions to him and just to return the answers via email this is great as I can help him do this instead of him speaking to her as i've done all the hard work and don't want him saying wrong thing. Just wanted to post that to get to this first stage it's been 5 months I know a few people have sent theirs to fos hope this give them an idea on their complaints.
No news on any of mine this week but still hoping think my postie thinks I fancy him as I'm at the door every morning to greet him lol

    Story so far

I have got six ppi claims on the go they were all put in on May of this year
two credit cards and four loans.

I got a letter today from Lloyds TSB saying that they have upheld one of my claims on one of the credit cards.

The card was taken out in 1999 and i paid it off in 2006 and i closed the account.
When i started making my claim on this card Lloyds said that they did not have any record of me paying PPi on this account,so i had to send them a statement with proof that i was paying PPI. :)

If it wasn't for this forum and all the PPi threads the above wouldnt have happened.

So thank you eveyone especially Di
Hang on in there everyone ;)

    oh well guys

hopefully Royal mail will be very busy over the next few days, delivering us all lots of lovely letters, still waiting for figures from HSBC, wish they took this long to take money from my account, when i owe them money it goes out spot on the day they say, just a shame this never happens when they owe me money:mad:

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all the clever people on this site who have provided me and others with fantastic advice since I first put my claims in with RBS in Sept 10. I have now had three success stories and wait for more! I hope that all people who are still waiting have their dreams fulfilled and that the banks learn a lesson

No figure as yet and still waitng for word on a loan taken out in 2001 and refinanced in 2004. I was if one of the maths legends could help me work out one of my current wins?
