Just received notification that Welcome finance have upheld the complaint. Considering I only sent this one less than 2 months ago I am thrilled to say the least. Need to make sure I get the letter posted tommorow and hope they stick to the promise of 15 working days after receipt for the BACs transfer. I wont belive its real til it hits the bank. :)

That is fab news, Well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

    YES!!!

Just heard that my two loans and credit card claim with RBS have been upheld as a goodwill gesture and they will pay according to FOS guidance. No figure as yet and still waitng for word on a loan taken out in 2001 and refinanced in 2004. I was if one of the maths legends could help me work out one of my current wins?
Loan taken out over 7 years starting in jan 08
    Payments. £485 A month
    PPI. £106 a month

I do hope so, its with MBNA and I think it may be a good return, not a record but enough to sort a few bits out at home.

Has anyone on here got any experiance of dealing with the FOS, won or lost?

I have 2 claims in the FOS egg chaser...... a Halifax loan PPI - which was accepted by the fos in Jan 2010..it was seen by an adjudicator & they favored with the bank so that is still awaiting the ombudsman & i sent another claim in in April 2011 against Central Trust, however, i didnt receive any response after 8 week so i rang them & they said they didnt receive any of my forms:(. Dont know how that had happened as everything - questionnaire, letters etc was sent in the same envelope, first class :(, anyhow, i sent all the same forms ( as i kept copies) again beginning of June and are just waiting in the que like thousands of others..but as long as you sit tight & hope for the best, things will work out. Good luck :A:Axx

    Hi All,

i just wanted to say thank you to everyone's advice. in particular for the free templates etc.

after a 7 week wait with Welcome finance the have finally agreed i am to be compensated just over £5,000! Which i owe to this sight :money:

here's the thing.....i had three settled accounts and one still with them. Welcome have said they put all the PPI into one and are putting the compensation the the existing loan. i have no problem with the PPI relating to my current loan but am furious that paid debts are being lumped into one pot!!!!

I think they should be caLculated separately. has anyone else been successful with rejecting an offer with similar circumstances?

btw ..i am still awaiting a decision on a pre 2005 PPI claim

thanks guys, you are an inspiration.

Well done Ian, good luck with this one and I hope you get just payments for all your hard work. Well done mate, and remember to post the winning numbers.:j:j:j

    Cheers matey

And as soon as I know the figures, rest assured so will you.

I didn't do a SAR, so I truly have no idea what the loans will pay to be honest, I don't think I ever had one for less than £5k and I think most were around £7.5k.

Also, one replaced the other, so no idea how long I paid them for, nor what rebate was received when I cleared them.

The current loan was for £21k over 24 years and has run for around 5 years. The monthly premium is £128

So looking forward to it being restructured.

As a guess, I reckon the PPI is about £30, so I'll probably get around £1800 back in premiums from this one alone, but the new restructured loan should only be around £100 per month which will help a lot.

The credit card is 13 years old and for around 10 of those years from memory it was at or around the limit. I seem to remember the limit was £3,500, yet something in the back of my mind tells me it may have been as high as £5,500.

I have cleared it many times over the years, but this could well be one of the big claims, such as the ones I have enjoyed reading about.

    Fiingers crossed :D

  • Looking for any suggestions. All my paperwork is lost but I contacted Black horse re loans I had taken between 1999 and 2004 with PPI, although self employed. I asked for the credit agreements during this time and forwarded relevant addresses but they wrote back they could find no record. What now?

    Hi gang,

Hope you're all well and having lots of successes. We are currently in the twilight zone; the 15th of Aug has been and gone, my sister's bank balance is minus another £300, and no sign on the horizon of the nightmare ever ending.
    Fingers crossed for us all.
