Well Halifax have until Monday to let me know, they are certainly keeping to maximum time on this one, but I am prepared for it to be a no due to my current financial situation with them.0 -
Lodged a letter to Sainsburys bank/Royal Bank of Scotland in November. I had to write another letter in December because they hadn't acknowledged my first letter.
Yesterday I received a reply to say that as I was a "valued customer" they would put me back in the position that I would have been had I not taken out PPI. They will be in contact soon to let me know what money I will get and they have said that I should have the money within one month.
It gives me some hope with my claim against Tesco PF /RBS0 -
Just received a letter from Egg and they have agreed to refund me £1,226.35 plus £202.17 interest - a total of £1,428.52. Unfortunately the refund will only be credited back to the loan which I'm still paying off - but at least I won't be paying back the loan for as long now... A cheque would have been nice though!0

Hi Terry
Could you please tell me what your misseling reason was that you complained about?
And also how long did it take from beginning to end, how many letters etc?
I have recently sent a letter so just wanted an idea of the timeframes they are working to.0 -
Hi Peeps
Just to keep you updated I have now sucessfully reclaimed my PPI from both my loan companies Abbey and Egg, I am so pleased I received £1800 from Egg which was enough to pay of the remainder of my loan and they were due me £100 what a result, great way to start the new year. I advise everyone to give it a go if you have think you have been mis-sold PPI. When I sent my letters I didn't think i'd get anything back, I am so happy this is going to help me out soo much fiancially and we can all do with abit of that just now.
Thanks again Martin and GMTV would not have done it without you.

Hi
Congratulations!
Could you also please tell me what your reason for your case was against Egg, and how long the whole process took?
Many thanks :-)0 -
Hi
Wrote to Barclaycard & BOS (Unison Mastercard) about unfair charges, only small amounts think one was an over limit of £30 which only happened because the card had been nicked
Got £24 from Barclay card and £12 from BOS on first attempt
Have 3 PPI claims 2 with Halifax & one with Nationwide, Halifax have responded to both claims and sent letters saying they are investigating and have been thoroughly pleasant, not hear from Nationwide but heres hoping.
All had PPI added as mandatory or "you wont get the loan without it probably" so blatant mis selling

Hi, apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I sent my first letter asking for the T&C's of my Loan Agreement (because I'd mislaid mine) and after 4 weeks, numerous phone calls this had still failed to show. So I just went straight ahead with the 1st of Martins pre-filled letters which was sent on the 25/11/08 (remember to send recorded delivery), on the 23/12/08 I received a letter saying they still hadn't resolved the issue and were looking into the matter further and would get back to me within 4 weeks. Today, the 16/1/09 I received the letter saying they have credited back the £1,428.52 into my Loan account. So all in all, minus the annoyance of the T&C's issue it took around 5-6 weeks. Hope this helps.0
