Evening all, any idea what timescale I can expect from HBOS to a ppi loan claim i submitted at the end of July ? I provided a full copy of loan agreement etc. I've been advised 16 weeks at least ? Anyone improved on 16 weeks ?

    Thanks in advance
Think 16 weeks should just about do it :D you never know it may come sooner x.

So i have i even emailed bert and told him and went as far as giving him the ref to show i had really done it. and still nothing still from them
The guy on the other end may not have been bothered, but they will pay a fee of £500 for not being bothered :D:D:D it would be easier to just pay people out :p:p

yeah you right ams but they have admitted they were wrong in giving me loan in first place so if i didnt get first loan i wouldnt have had to refinance the loan over this long period and get myself in this mess i no they didnt force me into this loan but when your skint really skint and offered money i took it i asked them to look into it again that was 3 weeks ago rang other day they said they are still investigating the reason they are refunding bank charges as these come about from me having the loan ,,,,,,sorry forgot to mention got £453 plus 8% back on ppi

Hi there, you are still up on the deal as i see it.
I see what you mean with regards to the bank charges, had you not had the loan then you would not have had these,i hope they look at this sympathetically and they give you some back, but even if they dont you will have saved at least £4.000 on the deal they have offered you and you wont have to pay the £38.00 a month for the next 8 years.
Good luck with this and keep me informed.
I know what you mean about needing money, i have been there done that and bought the t shirt :D as most on this forum have done x.

Could you give them a ring and ask what they are doing?.

They should have at least acknowledged your complaint.

I would hang fire with the FOS at the mo until you find out if mint have recieved it,as you have to give the business time to deal with you or the FOS wont touch it.
Having said that, the FOS could send the form for you again,if you explain you have heard nothing, that way the firm can still deal with this, and a letter from the FOS may help get their finger out.
