:j:jWell done Dizzywith, brilliant result, as many have said about reclaim companies they're not needed, but if this is what you were comfortable with at the time then so be it, it's worked for you, I think I'd feel worse if I was only awarded a couple of thousand and had to pay them a quarter, at least you've still got a huge chunk to play with, never look back on the decision's you've made, well done.

Great result and enjoy the spending and the holiday when you get it. Time for a well earned :beer:now.

    Congratulations dizzy!! very well done!:money:xx

    Good work Tommy!

    :T

Tifosi, would you be able to give me a guide to what my OH will receive. He had 2 x loans with natwest:
    1) aug 2003
    amount: 4,000
    PPI: 1,079

    then refinanced
    2) feb 2004
    amount: 8,700
    PPI: 1,770
Payments were around £200 for 48mnths

Sorry i have no more info than this, he rang Natwest today who stated that it will all go through the ombudsman & renaissance ( as that who we went through at the time - Jan 2010) but they will refund all premiums plus interest & 8%....they said it will take around 12 weeks :-(
    Thank you:pxx

    Hi Amersall

After reading your post I thought I would give FOS a quick call and the guy I spoke to said that the PPI complaint should be sorted out by 31 August 2011 and people written to accordingly!!

Hi there, i rang Barclays (i am dealing with a lady who called me after i emailed the CEO) and asked her if we would have to wait for payment after the 31st of august and she said all claims would be dealt with by the 31st of august,so i really dont know what to believe anymore to be honest,i hope my lady is right :D:D:D

Did the guy at the FOS tell you that you may not get paid out until after that date?.

This is unbelievable, they dont even know what they have agreed to in this extension, you will get a final letter by the end of august, but do they know if you will be paid by then? when i asked this question the guy wasnt sure :rotfl:
I think they will have to pay up by then as this will surely take them well over the deadline :D
    Fingers crossed for all :):):)

i was having a really really bad day at work today then i got a phone call from the claims company that i used (yes i know but i was naive back in the day and didnt know how to do it-i have been stupid i know but i know better now) to reclaim our ppi on our first plus account. They were ringing me to ask if i had received a letter from first plus (barclays) with the offer. I replied no but had left for work this morning before the post. Well they said they have the figures from them with the offer!!! I got home to find a letter from them with the offer!!!

Its for - wait for it!!! - £19,385.85 - i am soooooo excited. I know i have to pay this company 25% but i was naive and i didnt know how to find the account numbers, etc them.

But anyway we stand to get £14539,38. I am soo pleased and have sent the acceptance letter back already!!

It does state though at the bottom of the letter "please be advised on receipt of your signed acceptance form your refund will be processed within 6 to 8 weeks". But at least we know we are getting it at last!!!

I cant believe this is happening to us!!!! Holiday next year now for definite!!!

:t:tcongrats:t:t and well done on your win:t:t

HEY GUYS - went in the loft last night and found couple of thing inc an old bank statement i had with Capital Bank plc back in 1999. after several calls to capital one as thats who i thought it was with - we both google capital bank and found out it was with HBOS.

Called halifax got through to the PPI team. the guy i spoke to set the claim up over the phone as they already hold a few claims for me, what we both dont know at present is if PPI was on this as its another team that deal with capital bank ppi/queries.

Anyway he was very and i mean VERY surprised when i told him the loan was for £2k over 36months paying £108.44 per month this worked out to me paying them back approx £3900. As we are both not sure re ppi from that figure do you think this was on ot or could it all just be interest.

Rae - i am no mathematician.

    Hi
Below is the response I have just received from customer services at Lloyds regarding me email asking when my refund would be bank in my bank account.

Thank you for your e-mail communication. I can confirm the payment can take up to 21 days to reach your account from the date of our offer letter to you. Unfortunately we cannot give you a specific date and would ask that you appreciate this is the longest lead time but it is there to manage our customer’s expectations. As you can appreciate we are experiencing high volumes of concerns at present due to recent media publicity.

    Michelle

    Hi Michelle..

Your letter ..word for word is the same as the one I received today..But then I suspect that you and I are among thousands being dealt with.

I have no faith in RBS...they could not find my original paperwork, and so only paid my claim back to 2006...thanks to some grand support here, I am fighting that decision..will wait and see...in the meantime, might be worth regular requests for "updates"?? High volumes are not our concern...we did not create their workload, their practice of mis selling did...

    Cheers Citibird x:)

Hi amersall. Great news about your one with Barclays. The guy at FOS just said that it should be dealt with by then and definitely should have received a letter by then. Our claim is with Lloyds TSB. Tried to chase them but got the standard rubbish response of "Unfortunately we are still in the process of carrying out our investigations in which we hope to provide you with a final response as soon as possible". Well Lloyds have had 16 weeks so far so that is hardly as soon as possible in my book! Judging by everyone else's comments, I am not sure how Lloyds will stick to their deadline but time will tell. If we have not heard by end of August, we will be sending the Mr Antonio wotsit a curt letter.

Look forward to hearing your success when you get it
