if i accept the offer the loan will be cleared but my charges of £1800 will used to clear the loan so since i took out the loan they will have had £5500 to date but they said that they were to fault in the first place0

hi all went into the branch for a yearly personal update on my account as they requested done that then was offered a credit card or loan this was to my suprise as my outgoings were more than my incomings and was struggling so took the loan as she said it would be in my account straight away this was mar 2005 for £2500 @£86.00 per month i fell into hardship in feb 2007 so contacted them they put me into a refinance loan so it would include my £700 overdraft paying £38 .00 per month back for 144 months i had no other alternative but to agree to this anyway all in all if i honour the loan i will have payed back £7300 so complained about this as i still had evidence of personal yearly update from 2005 sent copies off withh complaint lloydstsb responded and said there were errors on their part and offered to stop the loan now and refund my bank charges to clear the loan so that means to date they will of had £5500 for a £2500 loan and £700 overdraft they admitted error but they are still coming off better what do i do0

hi amersall im int the armed forces so not always home where my bank statements go i got my annual loan statement at christmas and found out they had added a £6000 ppi loan to the original £20000 loan so i infact been paying back a £26000 loan since 2008 on me complaining they cancelled the ppi and knocked off approximateley £2000 pound off the balance leaving me still oweing 16000 but each monthly payment now goes solely to paying off the balance whereas before a third of it was paying off the loan balance and the other two thirds was paying off the cheeky ppi they had added on top

Congratulations to all that have won so far! I am ever so grateful about the help I got from the MSE forum and continue to get everyday! Did anyone get this letter from Barclays today :
"You will have recently received a letter confirming the date by which we will provide a full response to youe complaint. We are currently on track to meet all our response deadlines. We are, however, dealing with a large number of PPI enquiries in addition to our normal customer service activity and our call centres are currently experiencing higher than usual call volumes. Please be aware that if you contact us by telephone to check the progress of your PPI complaint we will not be able to give you any further information about your complaint. Please be assured that we are on track to respond to your, in writing, within the timescales previously advised. If you would like more general information on PPI full details are available on our website at www.barclays.co.uk/PPIinformation."
Are we politely being told to stay away till 31 August? Wondering what the forum thinks about this? Sounds dodgy to me, like the 31st dealine wont be met!
Hi,
I unfortunately got 2 letters exactly the same as you did this morning which to be honest has pi**ed me off big style. I was promised a full response by tomorrow, i was also promised a phone call from Barclays which did not happen. I emailed the CEO of Barclays again today complaining & i will email him / his team tomorrow & the day after & the day after that. As i have been told by my boss in the past "answer the person first who shouts the loudest ".
