Hi,

I unfortunately got 2 letters exactly the same as you did this morning which to be honest has pi**ed me off big style. I was promised a full response by tomorrow, i was also promised a phone call from Barclays which did not happen. I emailed the CEO of Barclays again today complaining & i will email him / his team tomorrow & the day after & the day after that. As i have been told by my boss in the past "answer the person first who shouts the loudest ".

Tony. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

HEY - i know your frustration barclays sent me the same cr?p today. Ive been shouting and ranting at citi and to bert (CEO) and to everyone on his team. they have all ignored me :mad::mad:

i do agree with whoever shouts up then - sort them out and shut them up but i think they are just ignoring us now

Mumof, here are a couple of points from the FSA guidance ps10_12_fsa_guidance that might help you to go back to them, you should give the whole document a read, i've read it a couple of times preparing myself for my replies from the banks.

3.3.9 G In determining a particular
complaint, the firm should (unless there are reasons
not to because of the quality and plausibility of the respective evidence) give
more weight to any specific evidence of what happened during the sale
(including any relevant documentation and oral testimony) than to general
evidence of selling practices at the time (such as training, instructions or sales
scripts or relevant audit or compliance reports on those practices).
3.3.10 G The firm should not assume that because it was not authorised to give advice (or
because it intended to sell without making a recommendation) it did not in fact
give advice in a particular sale. The firm should consider the available evidence
and assess whether or not it gave advice or made a recommendation (explicitly
or implicitly) to the complainant.
hi sorry to but in but i've had more or less same reply to my blackhorse complaint do you think i should put this in my letter back to them just trying to put as much as possible in it do you have anything else that would help my case thanks

Hi,

Still no reply from Mint (who are part of rbs) . Has anyone else wrote to Mint to claim PPI back? What shall i do next write them another letter or go to the financial obsum.

Thanks
• Evening all, any idea what timescale I can expect from HBOS to a ppi loan claim i submitted at the end of July ? I provided a full copy of loan agreement etc. I've been advised 16 weeks at least ? Anyone improved on 16 weeks ?

Thanks in advance

Hi there, how much ppi did you get back?.

As i see it the first loan was 4 years at £86 = £4.128.00
you paid this for 2 years as it was cleared with the second loan, they would have given you a rebate for early settlement (you need to find this out)and you also got the ppi back.
The 2 years you paid this came to £2.064.00
So if you take the ppi and the rebate off this total, you will know what you actually paid for this loan.

The second loan was over 12 years at £38.00 =£5.472.00
you paid this for 53 months = £2.014.00
take this off the second loan total....
£5.472.00- £2.014.00= £3.458.00
That leaves you owing them for this loan the £3.458.00
take off the £1.800.00 bank charges = £1.658.00

so you would owe them £1.658.00 for this loan that they are squashing and you have had your ppi and the rebate from the first loan plus you have saved £38.00 a month for the next 8 years that would be 96 payments x £38 =£3.648 that you have saved and you have no bank charges to pay. i think that is a good deal and i would snatch their hands off.

I am not brilliant at maths and if i have worked this out wrong, then i will be put straight.
