hi guys well yet more headache but this time with my gfs reclaim and lloyds tsb  clare had a credit card and a loan with them and sent them off in the same envelope waited like 16 weeks and she got to letter back both from the credit card department of lloyds saying they could find no evidence of ppi so clare rang them to find out about her loan and they have no record of her complaint in other words they have lost it!!!!

so she gave them her loan account number and they now claim they have no records of her ever having a loan (she still has her paying in book) and her loan went into default and was passed on to bls collections which is a part of lloyds group!! but no the chap on the phone insisted it wasnt them that she had a loan with and to try black horse so she rang black horse and they put her back through to lloyds saying it was nothing to do with them.

anyways so he refused to give clare a contact address to re send her account number for a sar request which means we are going to have to wait another 40 days!!!

can anyone let me have the address to send the lloyds sar request to please and fao di you gave me a link to that wonderful sar request letter to print out could i have it again please as its lost in the murk of a thousand posts on here lol

What are they playing at? passing the buck!

Hi niggly I'm chefyboys other half thankyou for getting back to us. We've found the following if it helps?!
Loan 1 rebate of charges £867.40, monthly payment was £206.32 Inc ppi of £19.34
Loan 2 rebate of charges £2420.34, monthly payment was £276.85 Inc ppi of £33.33
Loan 3 rebate of charges £2855.18, monthly payment was £278.42 Inc ppi of £36.30
Loan 4 I can't find a rebate letter but the monthly payment was £353.91 Inc ppi of £54.40 interest rate was 14.2%
    loan 5 says the following:
    current balance outstanding £18100.72
    Less-interest rebate £3809.96
    Less-insurance rebate £2104.98
Settlement figure required in full £12185.78

There are a number of variables working here. Each time you consolidate the ppi single premium is cancelled and a settlement fig is applied. This takes the form of a rebate which differs with every lender being applied to the settlement figure and then you actually pay off the remainder with the main loan. In your case this is added to the next loan. This will continue all the way through to the final loan. Every time you consolidate a new ppi single premium is bought and the remainder of the last ppi is added to the loan.

To calculate the ppi refund for the single premium you need to post up either the condolidated ppi that was added to the next loan OR provide the early settlement rebate applicable to the ppi. These may be in the policy document or T&C of the ppi/loan agreements.

Its always helpful to post up the amount you paid to the loan and if possible the amount paid monthly to PPI for each loan.

You will recieve all payments towards the monthly ppi on each loan plus 8% from the start of the loan to the date they compensate you.

Any single premium ppi will be refunded on each loan less rebate. Also 8% will be added from the date paid to the date of compensation less the rebate that kicked in on early settlement.

As you can imagine the need for each rebate figure is paramount to calculating an accurate fig.

The refund however will be fairly significant.

Please post up the rebate figure on each loan or the rebate settlement figures posted in the policy/loan agreement. This would read something like if you cancel the policy at 12 months the rebate of the ppi will be 49%, etc.

The ppi monthly prem for each loan would also be good.

Back off Hols today although going back on hols Sun to weds.

My word this has been a very long journey. So long that this almost doesn't feel like a victory. I know it is, but still...

First complaint to Lloyds in March 2008, on PPI sold on a Credit Card whilst I was postgrad student, was told my stipend was considered a salary - until I tried to claim 3 years later when told it was not a salary at all). To FOS in June 2008. Adjudicator (not a full obudsman) found in my favour in October 2009, this was rejected by Lloyds, and back into the queue for an Obudsman I went.

Finally last month heard they would pay.

I had, by the time of my complaint, paid off the card with a loan (no PPI) from another bank, and am disappointed because I feel their stalling has meant they can continue to get interest, for three-and-a-half years on my student overdraft in the meantime. I've been made redundant twice in the last three years, so really stuggled to make a dent in this. Brought this up with the FOS who said because this was a seperate account there was nothing they could do.

Still, £2408.15 is way better than nothing, but given I've paid more than £1000 in interest on my student overdraft in the last four years, I can't help but feel they've still won. Oh well.

Keep fighting everyone. Don't let them drag you down.

    Bill

Well done Bill at long last! Congratulations!:T:beer::j

Lloyds once underpaid us and a few months down the line, they did unexpectedly sent a further cheque and confirmed the underpayment, hope they do the same for you in time too. x

    Hiya

To what I know of, yes it is.;) Unless someone else can clarify on this one, no harm in giving it a go on the reclaiming.
    Good luck.

    Thanks for letting me know.

Barclays have been charging me £10.50 for 14 years on each of my two Additions account and also on my business account too (4yrs).

Only this week I have found out Barclays charged me PPI on my business loan without telling me.

MBNA also charged me PPI from 1997-2001 which is when I stopped it when I found out I was being charged for it.

I have lodged claims with both this week thanks to this forum, I just cannot understand the cheek! :naughty:
    Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!

    MFW 2015 £100 /£1000

Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!

    Success with MBNA credit card!!

Morning all. Over the past few months i've been helping my Dad reclaim mis-sold PPI with several credit cards and a couple of loans. This week he had letters from both his MBNA credit cards saying they will refund him £1000 in over the limit and late charges added to his accounts! :j
Well this morning he had his first PPI success! :j
Total amount of PPI premiums charged since sale date: £2,323.16
Total amount of interest associated with the PPI premiums: £2,406.94
Total amount of 8% interest: £640.85
Total amount payable to you: £5,370.95

He is absolutely over the moon! All it took was sending the reclaim questionnaire off. Had a few letters back to say they are still looking into it and then this today :T:j:beer:

I received my cheques from Black Horse and Halifax this week!! :j
Just waiting for a cheque from Capital one and an outcome from Barclaycard now :D

    Well done Boycey!

What a cracking amount 9especially on top of the other wins!)

    Enjoy it

    Hi and welcome

First of all well done on your other successes!

I would therefore then put in a reclaim if you don't feel this ppi is beneficial for you, by completing the reclaim questionnaire below, the front loaded policies are a total rip off anyway, good luck.

    Afternoon everyone,

I received a letter from Lloyds this morning (the letter I have been waiting for, for a long long time!!). They have made me an offer of £6731.47, this includes all the PPI payments on my credit card, 8%simple interest per year and £200 for distress and inconvenience. The credit card account was closed in 2007 and I first complained to them in June 2010. Initally they rejected my complaint, hence I referred the case to the Financial Ombudsman (FOS), after much discussion and letter writing they have finally agreed to see sense.

I just want to say huge thank you to Di for helping me with my complaint.
To everyone who has a complaint against Lloyds, keep fighting, victory will prevail! :j
