I've just seen your post with regards to the barclays additions accounts which I also held for several years and had to pay a fixed payment to use, did this payment include an insurance premium then? I've just tried to find it online but can't see if it does say it includes it
Thankyou
Hi, regarding Barclays addition account fee. I received a letter that the monthly cost was going up from £12.50 to £13.50 but the monthly fee is paid for certain services such as Comprehensive RAC cover, mobile phone insurance. I suppose if you have these covered else where then this could be classed as mis-selling???????0 -
Hello all,
I have two claims from Barclay's which in a letter they said i would have a full answer by the 17th & 25th August. I gave them a bell on Friday regarding the claim due a response on the 17th & the bloke on the phone was very helpful & promised i would get a phone call on Monday. He said he could see some notes on my claims but no figures but reckoned it should not be long before i get a full response. The thing that worried me was that he said he could see that the claims had been re-opened???? What does this mean???? Also has anyone had any kind of success with Barclay's? I look on this thread regularly & have not seen many people mention Barclay's? Thanks, Tony.0 -

Hi Tony
This may mean that they are looking at older loan/and/or credit card accounts with ppi as well, so if you currently have a reclaim in with them, they will see if there are others you may have taken out in the past to investigate at the same time.
That's the way I see it anyway, and this has been happening with others over the past few weeks too.
Good luck on the outcome.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Has anybody had any luck with Natwest?
On the 7th of May I rang the claim number given by my bank.
On 19th May I recieved a letter dated 14th May with 3 different PPI claim numbers (I'd forgotten about one of the loans) and the usual blah, blah, blah timescale etc.
Today I recieved a letter dating 31st May with only one PPI number on saying another 4 weeks blah. blah etc.
Rang them up to query why only 1 number and was told the latest letter covers all 3 claims so I asked if the call was being recorded as I wanted definative proof the letter was covering all 3 claims. The man I spoke to was very helpful and said although the claims were hoping to be sorted within 8 weeks it was taking nearer 12 weeks and thanked me for my patience.
.....here's hoping for succesful claims
Thank you to everybody who has posted on this thread as you've all given me a kick up the bottom to claim what is really mine xx
Well I emailed Mr Hester with this tonight ....
Dear Mr Hester,
In April of this year I applied for PPI back on 3 Loans I have had, under the misselling umberella, as told I wouldn't get the loan without PPi yet I didn't need it as I have worked since 2001 for the NHS so had cover with them should anything have happened to me.
i received a letter dated 14th May in reciept of my complaint from the PPI Administration Team and a letter dated 31st May saying I would hear something within the next four weeks from the PPI cutomer concerns Team. Today is 13th August and I haven't received anything in writing since May to keep me updated and although I have telephoned a few times for an update, I'm now getting a little bit miffed that it is costing me money everytime I want an update because nobody there has bothered contacting me in any way, shape or form, even though the four weeks from the letter dated 31st May has long since passed!
I cannot fault the PPI team, I can only imagine the pressure they are under at the present time, and I guess not everyone is as polite as me. They have been most helpful when I have telephoned but they are still unable to give me answers.
I was wondering if you could look into my claims and maybe give me a definative time for an answer or maybe if I'm lucky as to a yes or no if I've been successful on my claims.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this email.

The £260 I paid to Barclays was my monthly payment which included PPI.:)
UPDATE I just found a document saying business loan insurance.
According to it I paid a one off premium at the start date I have no idea how much .
Early termination will result in a percentage back, so I assume I must have had a refund which could be either 56% or 25%.
What a nightmare!!!
I need the figs to calculate thanks
Just a warning I am on hOLS agin tomorrow till Weds but will check in from time to time.0 -
Niggly would you be able to check that last calculation again for me please if you have time, thankyou:)0

Hi all
I am trying to claim the PPI on my MBNA credit card. I did the usual things sent off for my information on my credit agreement sent the £1 cheque.
This I received on the 02/06/11 this is a bad photo copy from 1996 and it looks like the boxes are pre ticked.
I filled out there on line complaints form and received an e-mail with a ref number and the following.
We are currently investigating your complaint and will endeavour to issue a response within 28 days from receipt. This was dated 22/06/11.
I then received another e-mail.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you; however, our investigations are taking longer than anticipated. We will issue a response by 29 July 2011.
This date passed then I received a letter saying they will send a response in the next 21 days.
I have now received another letter saying.
They are not upholding my complaint because I ticked the box and signed it. Also I have not sent any of the requested info they have asked for in the letter they sent requesting it.(What letter what info requested).
I think it is time for the FOS:mad:0
