Wohoo Success from Egg :-D:
CRP premiums paid: 525.20
Refund of interest: 77.44
Interest at 8%: 264.94
Overlimit charges: 20.00
Total Refund: 887.58!!!!
I put the complaint in end of June and got this last week. They hadn't even asked me why I was complaining and I can't remember what was on the card!
Have now had a letter from Barclays extending the review time to 24th November, even though the time limit was up 3rd October!!! They also asked me to fill out a form although that is how I made my complaint in the first place, so annoying!!0 -
Hubby's last day at work today after being made redundant from TJ Hughes, so really need my PPI Complaints upheld! Good luck all and hope the postman delivers some fantastic news for us all. xxxxxxxxx0

My method is to send a polite e-mail to the Ceo of the organisation concerned detailing what you want doing asking if they will check all records.
This resulted in the file being marked as an executive complain and being monitored by a senior manager with a name and direct line access. An offer RBS from was made exactly a month later and I was able to get back to the senior manager to double check after a couple of problems with junior staff and the accepted offer £2.5k being transferred directly into my account on receipt of my acceptance letter no waiting for a cheque to arrive0 -

1.30th july received an offer letter dated 26th july for 4,500 and if i was happy with offer need not do anything if they don't here from me then they will process the refund into my account
2.1st august rang them to find out how long the process would take the gentleman said they wait 7 days for me to reply if not happy and then another 21days for the money to be transferred into my account so in total 28 days none of this was stated in the letter
3.post came this morning got all excited because i have another 3 claims with them and that is due by 31st august when i opened it it was a loan statement for a current loan i have it shows that they took my regular payment on 1st august then it shows 975.00 received from me on 2nd august i phoned up to find out what was going on and to be told that they had taken it out of my final settlement i told him that how dare they do that i was told in the letter that all monies would be refunded back to my account he apoligised and said that he would email the refund department and tell them to refund it all to me so my grievience is that they didnot even wait 3 days to take some of my money to pay off my loan but i have to wait 28 days for the rest of it to hit my account they are making us wait unneccessary:mad:
I have a letter from Lloyds dated 1st July giving an offer of settlement saying that the money will be paid into my account 'as soon as possible' I rang to ask when this would be and they told me they had to give 14 days to allow me to change my mind if I wanted to and then 'up to 21 days' for the money to go into my account. That time was up last week to I rang again to ask how long it would take when he told me that it was 'on the spreadsheet' (whatever that means) and would now take a couple of days.
Eight days later and still waiting0 -
Thanks Di. I just gave them a ring and they said they have the final figures from head office so they should be able to finalise in around 10 working days
<<sigh>> 10 working days are up so I rang them again and surprise, surprise another 10 working days!!
The NRAM successes seem to have gone really quiet again.0 -
Call me cynical but despite the recent ruling I think the banks will still try to get away with paying out the minimum they can.
