1.30th july received an offer letter dated 26th july for 4,500 and if i was happy with offer need not do anything if they don't here from me then they will process the refund into my account
2.1st august rang them to find out how long the process would take the gentleman said they wait 7 days for me to reply if not happy and then another 21days for the money to be transferred into my account so in total 28 days none of this was stated in the letter
3.post came this morning got all excited because i have another 3 claims with them and that is due by 31st august when i opened it it was a loan statement for a current loan i have it shows that they took my regular payment on 1st august then it shows 975.00 received from me on 2nd august i phoned up to find out what was going on and to be told that they had taken it out of my final settlement i told him that how dare they do that i was told in the letter that all monies would be refunded back to my account he apoligised and said that he would email the refund department and tell them to refund it all to me so my grievience is that they didnot even wait 3 days to take some of my money to pay off my loan but i have to wait 28 days for the rest of it to hit my account they are making us wait unneccessary:mad:

I sent a few claims in for PPI's that I had.
One was sent to Santander Credit Card, and I had a reply within a week with an offer of £1200.
Yesterday I had a letter from Northern Rock with an offer of £12600, which I have accepted.
Still waiting to hear from Egg Credit Cards and Barclaycard Loans.
For anyone thinking about claming, do it. I took me about 10mins to fill the form in and the cost of a postage stamp. Then just a bit of patience while waiting for the letters to arrive. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Hi guys
Very quick response from Santander here with an offer received today,
Basics are
17th July or thereabouts emailed them, got an auto response,
21st July emailed them again , auto response.
Ended up on Sunday 7th i emailed the ceo@santander.co.uk,
Monday 8th received an email and a phone call saying it was being dealt with and something would be in the post Tuesday
Tuesday 9th received email saying they had tried to ring to confim post but got answer phone
Wednesday 10th Received letter with offer in post saying upon acceptance it would be here within 2 weeks,
So from Ceo to acceptance letter actually only took 4 days to receive.
Run down of offer is:
A Total monthly premiums paid until 5/4/2005 £246.75
PPI Rebate adjustment £589.45
Statutory interest on the 2 above until 31st August 2011 £416.18
Offer being £1252.38
Then went onto say," when you canclled your single premium ppi policy early you received a less than pro rata redunf, resulting in a larger settlement figure, The calculations therefore include a PPI rebate adjustment representing the different between the pro rate figure and the ine that was applied to your loan at the time.
Does this sound ok by all you carol vorderman wannabe's?:rotfl:
So success so far have been
Halifax credit card ppi money received
Santander loan which was originally A&L offer
Black Horse offer
Barclays is ongoing i have to send the forms back for this one and given us till September
For those that think " oh i dont know"
All of the above i have done completely through email so not even cost me the price of a stamp. I only had account numbers and a few bits of paper here and there, my OH didn't know if he had even paid these loans off or not and i didnt even have to fight my case just said simply " he was self employed"
I know everyone says it but help from you all, Di, Ianc, Marksman, Amers, and anyone else,,,, and others who post what they have done really really does make a difference, so don't just say " aww shucks its ok" pat yourself on the back and smile as you have made a big big difference in peoples lives with the time you give us all in claiming back these monies we have basically been robbed of
much love to all xxx
:jBrilliant news :j:j:j:j:j
and you are very welcome:D:D:D:D:D

Hi, My sister has a credit card with MBNA from 1997 to date, she has been paying PPI and didn'nt know it (thanks to this site I told her to check her statements!:D), it wouldn't have applied to her anyway as she worked part time and worked for herself.
Her APR is approx 20% and her balance has been appox £3000-5000 over the past 14years.
She has told me the PPI is and has been approx £20 per month.
I have tried using the calculators but am getting rather confused, so can someone please help me work out if she was successful how much could she have returned if she claims.
I want to convince her that she must do this as she is still a bit sceptical with the whole PPI miselling and how you can claim your money back.
Thanks in advance.:)Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000
Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!0 -

Hi, we got talked into taking accident sickness and redundancy out with our mortgage by northern rock but it wasnt them that provided it,it was a company called cardiff pinnacle. It turned out this insurance was rubbish ( would only pay 50% of mortgage repayments in case of sickness ) would we have a case to complain? And if so who would we complain to ? Would northern rock have gained from us taking this insurance? Has anyone else dealt with a case like this?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated0 -

Just to keep you encouraged - I had a similar claim with them for similar period / balance(£6K) - they paid me back £13k.
I had most of the statements to back up though...worst case they will have copies of your sisters statements for the last 6 years, even though I am sure they have them all,but dont have to provide you with copies of them beyond 6 years.
Write em a letter and see what they come back with - you never know till you try.(I reckon she could be on for a good payout -£10k + ish dependant on PPI payments made / amount of outstanding balance etc)

Hello, i have been lurking in the shadows for 2weeks but have finally registered. Im a newington, so please bear with me. My situation is that i took out a 4k personal loan with the Cooperative bank in 2004 to be repaid over 5 years. 2years into the repayments i badly needed money so i renewed that loan and went back to square 1,now with a 4.7k borrowing figure, spreading the payments over 7 years. on both occasions PPI was bolted on. in 2007 i settled this situation when i consolidated with another outfit.
i have now started proceedings to claw back those PPI payments, using the advice i got here as a phantom viewer.sent a letter and completed forms to the Co-op last week. Received acknowledgement of receipt from them yesterday. i dont know how long i will have to wait for the process to conclude, and hopefully in my favour. I just thought I would share my little story. thank you.I NEED TO BUY AN ENGAGEMENT RING...BUT NOT WITH BORROWED MONEY0 -
