Apologies if this is not the correct place to ask but there is a mind boggling amount of information on here to get my head around.

    1) When writing and asking for the credit agreement on a Lloyds TSB credit card, is it Lloyds I write to? The template mentions writing to the insurance company that sold the PPI and I don't know if it's the same thing.

    2) If I have a loan, how do I check whether there is any PPI on that loan?

Thanks in anticipation for any help. Newbie at this! :o

    Right,

you need to use the calculator here for the compound interest thats been charged on the card PPI, (I'm assuming from your "years" comment it goes back further than Aug 2009? - if so, you need to send them a SAR and get as many statements as possible from them - if you dont have them?)

    - When did the card actually start?

    - What's the APR % that you have been charged on the card?

WOW - i love this calculator - no wonder citi not playing ball with just over 5 years on a little over 1800 - i like what i see especially with an interest rate of 29.9% per year

    Hi,

Dont quote me on this obviously, but this should give an approx. of what you should receive

using THIS calculator suggests that over the 36 months you would incur £312 in interest at 19.9%

    Giving a total of £744

So if we take the simple option and calculate the £744 at 8% simple since the start of the loan (this would give a slightly wrong figure but close enough for a "ball park").............

£800 (almost exactly!) interest from 04/03/1998 to todays date

    So £744 + £800 simple interest = grand total of £1544

Daily interest works out at £0.16 for 4908 days

Again, thats probably erring slightly in your favour by calculating the 8% on both the premium and interest charged from the loan start date, but it'll be as near as makes little difference

Cool  Thanks very much for that. Now all I have to do is win my case :rotfl:

    Hi

You could call into a lloyds branch and ask them to provide you with a copy for the easiest, or even write to them, enclose £1 cheque or postal order, and they should supply by 12 days.
    This have been done.

The ppi if any will be shown on the agreement, but for the easiest what I done was email them at the addy below, and at the same time copied and emailed it to the CEO to make sure I got a response, I gave them my bank account number (even though i no longer bank with them), addresses i lived in whilst taking out loans/credit cards with them, and they emailed me back with all the loan account numbers including confirming PPI was added.

    customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

    antonio.osorio@lloydsbanking.com

Or just call into the bank anyway and they will check and let you know if any ppi.

If then you need to make a reclaim for being mis sold for any reason (the way i see it in your case is that you do not know if you had ppi) and if they did add this then you can make a reclaim for this reason. Some used to think ppi was all part of the loan because not being told any different.

There are details on this site on how to make a reclaim, but its the same as the lloyds website, the same reclaim questionnaire, you complete and send to the address shown on their site, keep a copy as well for yourself, they do normally have 8 weeks, but current reclaiming is 16 weeks due to backlogs, good luck.

    Thank you so much.

Credit card is hubby's and he's had the same card for over 15 years so will chase that up for him.

Loan is mine and is still running and was for £7500 so will see if there was PPI there too.

Will update with any progress. :D

You are very welcome. Good luck to you both and we look forward to hearing from you with hopefully a good outcome, but ask for any help if required.

Hi has anyone had any success with GM Card / HFC?
My claim ongoing since last September has been knocked back by them on the grounds that they dont do and never have done 'advised sales ' of PPI.

I realise this is just another fob off / delaying tactic,in an effort no doubt to deter me, which I have become only too well accustomed to from the HSBC group.

I put this claim with the FOS back in Feb 2011 due to GM/HFC's lack of interest / delay tactics and when I rang to chase up the other day they have yet to appoint an adjudicator!!!
(This could take a while me thinks)

Hence my wondering how others were getting on with this lot.
