Think it's just another Fob off, i sent an interesting email back as he spelt my name incorrectly, eg i said towers and he replied powers, P&T the wrong way round, not close on the keyboard lol.

    RESULT!!!!!

    Mr Thompson

Please accept my apologies for my incorrect spelling of Ms Towers name. It was an oversight on my part and I sincerely apologise.

Regarding your complaint, I can confirm that following my investigation, the complaint has been upheld in Ms Towers’ favour. I have issued a Final Response letter detailing our findings and a cheque for the refund will follow.

    Hi all,
I posted here about 3 weeks ago with regard to my claim against LLoyds TSB mis selling me PPI on a Credit Card ( which was upheld ). Still no cheque, no replies to emails I have sent enquiring about same.
Anyway, I phoned them this morning, ( politely I may add :rotfl:), asking them why I had not yet received what is mine, and they apologised, claiming some cheque repayments had been put on hold because of the vast volumes. Not a great reply really in today's computerised environment.
I have asked them to send me payment automatically to my bank account ( VIA CHAPS or BACS ) to get around this to which they have agreed - payment should be in my account in the next few days. For those, like myself waiting for your payment, phone the following & ask for Electronic Payment to your Bank Account. Could this be a ply I wonder to earn the extra interest on our money??

Best of luck to all waiting on outcomes & congrats to those waiting payment! Alan

mine was upheld a week ago in the letter i was told that if i was happy with the settlement then i did not have to do anything if they did not here from me the money would then be put into my account .I phoned them to find out how long it would take they told me they wait for 7 days for a response if your not happy and then another 3 weeks for the cheque to be processed.Like you i don,t know why they are dragging it out:mad::mad:

I hope that we get lot's of good news today. I have heard from a little mole Barclays are paying out now on PPi claims i hope that helps some people ;)

Heard on the news yesterday Barclays profits were down by a third to £2.6bn as they had set aside £1bn for claims. Felt really sorry for them :rotfl:. I hope they do start to pay out soon. I have 3 claims in with them since January/February and not heard a word since letter saying they would be refunding. 31st August is fast approaching!

Just a quick note on timescales my Central Trust complaint was logged with the FOS on the 24th June 11, received a letter today from the FOS to say " due to receiving 5000 complaints a week it will be another 3 months until we get to the adjudicator" there is also a warning saying the case could take well over a year.
I hope this helps anyone wondering the length of time it takes at the FOS.

On another note I emailed Santander complaints dept 2 wks ago (after reading on here how successful other people were just by sending an email) regarding a finance agreement I had with First National which they now own, which the sales rep made me take PPI on. As yet I've hadn't even had an acknowledgement that they've recieved my complaint. This one is a real bug bearer with me as I know I paid around 1k on ppi on this. What should I do next??

    Lynk,

You need to chase them, Santander average (for A+L and Abbey loans, at least) seems to be about 1 - 2 weeks

The number for Santander PPI complaints is: 0845 600 6014 and for PPI complaints its option 2 then option 4 then option 2

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

  • Hi all
Just received £1107.29 from barclays for overdraft protection payments.
This was put directly into my account today. I am still waiting for them to pay for the ppi on 2 loans, although this shouldn't take long, hopefully.

This is a brilliant site full of help and inspiration.
