I have a complaint with them at the moment for Capital One Cc, sent mine in approx 3/4 weeks ago. So fingers crossed mine wont be too long either. Well done on your win! Happy Spending.
I think occasionaly its a case of once it goes to FOS and they contact the bank, someone at the bank sees sense and thinks "it looks like we're taking the P here, better pay out" and they do so without any real FOS intermediation
Even so, 2 months is indeed quick!

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Thank you Martin,
I was mis-sold a Loan back in 2002 and paid it off early as I was so disillusioned with the whole mis-selling of it, at the time I had tried to cancel the Loan the following day under the cooling off period but I couldn't without there being a rather large penalty, little did I realise until recently that they had sold me a 'Non-Cancellable Loan', I had thought about trying to reclaim the PPI quite sometime back but I thought it was too late.
I read on of your articles and thought what the heck, I went to the Bank in January this year and requested a copy of my Loan agreement and other details such as the monthly repayment amount, the date I paid it of (early) etc,all I had to do was send off a cheque for £1.00 to get a copy of the original agreement....when received the paperwork I was astonished to realise that the Loan had been Non-Cancellable....!!!!
I wrote them a letter using one of your templates and waited, all in all I wrote 4 letters, the first on the 21st January and the last on the 15th June, and to be honest, wasn't holding out much hope especially as the Loan was from 2002....imagine my surprise to find a letter behind the door last night offering a settlement of £1791.05, this included Interest at 8% calculated up to 25/08/11!!!! I honestly had not expected to be successful and if I was I was thinking around the £700 mark......I am absolutely over the moon, it only cost me £1.00 for the original paperwork and around £5.00 in postage, oh, and a little patience. Even better I did it myself (with your help) avoiding paying charges to a 'Recovery Company'.
My advice to anybody trying to reclaim PPI is, keep at it....always send your letters signed for and keep on top of them...it worked for me as I'm £1791.05 better off!!!
Thank you Martin...without your advice I would've let this go as I thought it would be too late to recllaim.....0 -
