Hello guys, i hav posted a few times on here regarding Barclays & 2 PPI complaints i have going through. The last corrospondance i had was 2 letters explaining that i will get a full response before the 17th & 25th August. But i am getting impatient so i found out the CEO email a couple of weeks ago, a Mr Diamond i think, & politely emailed asking him for an update & if they did not pull there finger out i was going to get my MP envolved. Well i had no reply so i have been forwarding the same email to him every day since!!!! I know this will annoy him but will it jeopardise claims? Tony.

    Hiya

That is not on is it?

I would ring the FSA and maybe they will contact them for you, someone did from what I can recall got in touch with the FSA and they got in touch with one of the banks, they soon got on with the case.;)

  • Successful claim What were you reclaiming: 3 loans with PPI - none of them ever lasted to the end generally 30 to 40% through payment term they were paid off (sadly !!). One had £2708.99 PPI, the second £3436.27 and the third £4394.04

    Who was the provider: LTSB

How much did you get back: just over £9600.00 in total ...........WoWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!

Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:
I've been after these babies since May 2008. I sent a letter based on a template I found on this site and added the circumstances that applied to me. I was first sent a standard response letter then a final letter rejecting my claim. So I took it up with the Ombudsman in July 2008 and things went quiet . My dear mum died in January 2009 so I forgot about my claim for 18 months or so. Re-raised it in November 2010 and kept patient - thought we were being stalled in the courts around April 2011 but lo and behold the evil banks got thrown out of court. Letter received from Ombudsman would be getting the ppi money refunded plus interest as a 'gesture of goodwill'. They then drag their feet for 8 weeks before working out your final refund - in my case over £9600.00. Result !!!! Thanks Martin and Co.!!!!

Anyone who has any doubt - try it anyway. Stick in there and you will get rewarded for very little work !! :T:beer:

Its not so much the amount im excited about its the fact i got a response within their time limit and whereas Barclays have put me back to November, Llloyds have kept to their words and its taken me no effort at all really,

I have read all the figures off the statement next to me with. Don't THINK 2nd loan was paid off early so sorry i cant elaborate on that one

As for other questions the paperwork i copied all the info from is all i have sadly unless there is somewhere on this form that says rebate and im missing it?
