I probably am wrong about the interest:o I just know the loan was for £14000 the Ppi original cost was £3064 and I paid £375 for 60 months :)

got to say IanC is about right as i had one for almost the same amount and it was around the 5K mark ;)

Had a phone call yesterday saying that barclays will be refunding me by 31st august at the latest as I put my claim in august 2010. I think the interest was 21 or 22 per cent

Oh right, well that's great, Congratulations if I've not yet congratulated you yet.

Can anyone help me calculate how much I am due back. I took out a loan in march 2006 for £ 14000 which also had Ppi on top of that that cost £3064. (total amount £17064) I paid £375.00 per month for 60 months and I paid off the PPI first. I finished paying off the loan march this year. I'm not sure how you work out how much I am due back from barclays?

You paid off the PPI first. When did you do that. I am a little confused myself.

However without the cost of the premium each month we can say that the premium repayment per month was approx 18% or £67.50

    67.50 x 60 = £4050
    8% simple interest on 64 months = £950.40

£5000 refund gross 20% Basic Rate Tax on interest

Ahhh, I should have divided the PPI lump by the total of the loan plus PPI, rather than just the loan amount.

    Doh :D

Sorry if I'm a bit confusing:o what I mean is that according to my paperwork the Ppi was paid off first and then the loan which I think means that they allocated my first few payments against the Ppi and then the rest against the loan:o I think

Hello guys, i hav posted a few times on here regarding Barclays & 2 PPI complaints i have going through. The last corrospondance i had was 2 letters explaining that i will get a full response before the 17th & 25th August. But i am getting impatient so i found out the CEO email a couple of weeks ago, a Mr Diamond i think, & politely emailed asking him for an update & if they did not pull there finger out i was going to get my MP envolved. Well i had no reply so i have been forwarding the same email to him every day since!!!! I know this will annoy him but will it jeopardise claims? Tony.

I can understand that you may be getting some what impatient but id try and give them the time they need and till the dates given by them ;) Then id chase them up :D I think they should reply to say they are dealing with it though, to be ignored is just rude :p

I shouldnt think it would affect your complaint though

    It wont annoy "him"

The CEO email addresses that we have on here will nt be the actual CEO's email, but a high level complaints team - hence why many of the CEO responses are identical

So nothing really to lose from regularly emailing, but daily seems a little pointless?

I have never received one back from him either.

I am impatient to ,but think we should all give them until 31st August, as they have said this since the JR review.

    Then annoy them lol
