Hi There, recd my 2nd letter from lloyds yesterday refusing to refund my ppi. Letter stated they have been unable to reach a mutually agreed solution - however they will refinance the loan and remove the ppi and providing i have not made a claim against my loan protection - which i havent - i would get an insurance rebate which would be used to reduce the o/s balance on loan ! should i take to FOS and they have suggested this if i am still not happy.

(reason im doing it in the first place is i really needed loan - felt the ppi was forced upon me - my partner was out of work at that time, i was in a secure job - but the loan is in my name only so nothing to do with my partner)

    thanks!
If this is their final response then you can now take this to the FOS. They should give you a rebate anyway if you cancel so they are not really giving you anything other than what they should. If this was missold to you then you would be put back into the position as if you never had the PPI so I would personally pursue this complaint with the FOS if you are able.

    Hi everyone,

I have had letters from both of these companies, saying that they would be paying me out, as a gesture of good will. Although i had to go through the FOS for my Lombard Direct. They said it will take between 6-8 weeks to pay out. Thank you to everyone on this site who continue to write their success and failures. This gave me the strength to fight on especially when Lombard Direct refused to uphold my complaint. And a major big thank you to Martin Lewis without who, we would all still be getting robbed big time.

I had success with Lombard after going to FOS. They paid out within 3 weeks as I kept phoning them, stating we needed the money. So get onto them, when you owe them they want it immediately, so dont wait 6-8 weeks for them to give you YOUR MONEY back. Congrats on your success.

    Hi Jimbean

Do you have the address you wrote to at HFC as i've wrote twice with no reply to either letter?

Well done for having such a quick response!

Thanks and keep it simple only used the first Template letter and based my claim on the PPI , we were never given the option but now its seems its optional when you check out First PLUS website. We did not need FOS First Plus were very quick to reply. We Wish everyone the same sucesss if you need a copy of my lettter please get in touch.
