Hi Niggly
This account is very long standing - opened mid 90's -PPI records from 2000 onwards.
There is a lot of information - how would it best be presented to you? via a spread sheet showing balance, ppi charged interest charged month on month?
I do have a spreadsheetwhich has most of this on but it is a very large file - do you want this?
Matty
You could email it if thats okay. Pleas make sure all personel account details arent included. This is what the FOS have said about redress on regualr premium ppi thats still ongoing. As you can see its complex due to the nature of the beast. Did the payment of the ppi depend on the balance or was it a fixed sum payable each month and then added to the account?
I will email you my email address.
regular-premium credit card PPI
This covers the situation where:- a PPI policy is sold alongside the credit card; and
- premiums are added to the balance, with interest payable on them.
- The cancellation of the PPI policy (if it is still in place).
- The reconstruction of the credit-card account, to work out what the current balance would have been (where the account remains open) – or what the closing balance would have been (where the account has been cleared or closed) – if the consumer had made the same monthly payments but without PPI. This should be calculated by deducting the PPI premiums and the interest and charges that resulted from those premiums (including those arising because the ongoing monthly balance on the credit-card account was higher than it would have been, if the consumer had made the same payments to an account without PPI).
- A statement showing the resulting balance on the credit-card account – to be sent to the customer along with details of how it was calculated.
- If the reconstruction produces a credit balance for any period, the payment of interest (normally at the rate of 8% simple per year) on the credit balances for the period that the account was in credit.
- The consideration of a payment for distress and inconvenience – for example, where the financial business rejected a complaint that it knew (or should have known) that the ombudsman service would uphold.

Hi all
Sadly although i had a success and posted on here last week something bad has happened and i just wanted to pre warn others incase something similar happens.
Last week i got back over £600 put back onto my credit card, This left me with about £700 spare credit.
I admit rightly or wrongly i went shopping and probably spent about £60 on the basis that next week on pay day i would put it back anyway as i been bringing my balance down more than the minimum payment.
Just before i turn off the laptop of an evening i always check my bank balance
Going thru my accounts and my Halifax cc which 2 days ago had all this cred is now saying
"Recent transactions have caused your account to exceed its credit limit. Please make a payment now to bring your account back within limit. Alternatively please contact us on 0870 850 1291 to discuss your account. Please be aware that authorisations on your account may be declined.
Has this happened to anyone else??? I will of course call them tomorrow from work but this seems a little unfair, i got the letter saying i had it back and there was nothing to say my credit limit would be dropped or anything
xx
Unless they have reduced your credit limit?,this is possible as a lot of cards have had the limits reduced across the board not just those who have claims upheld.
If they have reduced your limit the letter to inform you of this may have crossed in the post after you used the card.
To save you a phonecall, have you registered the card with the online system? this will show you everything to do with your card.

We did have ppi added to it at a cost of approx £1,225. Could we still reclaim it as we feel we have been mis-sold it?
Many thanks in anticipation of your reply.
Diane
If you do not have the account number when you ring, ask them and they could find this for you.
