Have you got your cheque yet?

I got a letter dated 25th June saying they would be sending a cheque within 28 days. So, I've sent an email to their CEO chasing them up for the cheque just now!

Nothing as yet Moonwalk Expert although on Friday I phoned up the complaints dept of MBNA and got through to a lovely lady who said that although the cheque was approved on 13th July, it can take up to 14 days to be received in the post.

Now why they can't be honest in the first place I'll never know. They are clearly not sticking to their promised 28 days!

HSBC are in trouble :rotfl: its the 16 week deadline today and I just rang to find out what was going on and was told they have no idea when I will get a payout as its now gone to a different department..................helpful. Anyway does anyone have the CEOs email addy so I can start jumping up and down, do I need to contact the FSA or FOS as well to inform them as surely they are breaching something and should get fined for it

    Try them both.

I emailed both of them and got a response, but not sure which one worked :rotfl:

Just called RBS following FOS stating that they have agreed to pay on my complaint

RBS are now stating it will take "up to 8 weeks" to pay out AND they cant tell me how much yet

I did say that in their letter, FOS quote 4 weeks for payment, but RBS chap said he didnt know why they would say that when they know RBS timeline is 8 weeks!!

Anyone else think they're taking the P?!!!

    Hi Guys

Just wanted to pick your brains really!

I put in a claim in respect of PPI on Virgin Credit Card (MBNA) i'd had for a number of years. MBNA have been keeping in touch via email (after I lodged my complaint via their website) and I got an acknowledgement of my claim, then a "sorry for keeping you waiting" email 4 weeks later, and they've promised me their response by 26th July (tomorrow) which is the 8 week deadline.

Am I correct in thinking that only RBS, Lloyds, HSBC and Barclays are the only banks allowed 16 weeks? Just trying to get my story straight in case tomorrow's response doesn't arrive

    Thanks in advance :)

Oh and well done to everyone who won last week and fingers crossed for this week!! :j
    Nationwide Loan - Success - £2,596.24 - 8 weeks Egg CC - Success - £99.51 - 2 weeks Lloyds CC - Success - £1,151.27 - 16 weeks & 2 days
Lloyds Loan - Success - £186.17 -Waiting for payment Virgin CC - Rejected - but 23 days into re-opened complaint - update overdue

Tell them they are talking out of their backsides, I have calimed on a loan from 99' and many others on here have claims older than that from A+L

Call their helpline and play dumb (dont let on you have already written) and just ask if they can check for a loan with your name, date of birth and address:

and for PPI complaints its option 2 then option 4 then option 2

    Best of luck

I was feeling a bit despondant after the D Perkins knock back, this has made me all the more determined to get back what is rightfully mine. So it's off to the FOS I'm gonna go and try the underwriter road.
