Thankyou Di, interesting that your calculations worked out a bit weird too!! How are you getting on with your big claim??
Anybody else able to advise me, I would greatly appreiciate it before phoning them tomorrow!!

    Your welcome hon.:A
I have been trying to find the info on this but think it's on my old puter which I am unable to get it working anymore :(.

Still ongoing the one case with the FOS unfortunately, a difficult one and it's been with them for some time as well, but hopefully all will be worthwhile in the end, thanks for asking x;)

Did you tell the FLA this?.

No, would it have mattered? I paid ppi from 1991-2003! Should I reclaim with just the newer account no, and forget about pre 1998?

I would also point out at this time the statements which Ms xxxxx submitted showing that insurance premiums were taken out after 8th Sept 1998 refer to a/c no. xxxxxxxx. This account is not related to the above account.
Just so i get this right, the account they have knocked you back on that you sent proof of statements for, with the account number, they say it is not related to this claim?.

I cannot get my head around really how the 8% works,it should be (i am told) to the day they pay you out, having said that you will have been given FOS redress,so i wouldnt think the bank would not give you this, ring FOS and ask how the 8% works then you have ammunition to go back to the bank with.

Thought I had it after reading what Di posted for me but have just confused myself further by reading the FOS website!:o
Will take your advice as well and ring the FOS before I ring Santander.
I can't get my head around the '8% to day they pay out' either!! 8% of what fig.??????????

I'll let you know how i get on tomorrow.

    Thanks again!:A

In the original forms I sent to Santander I quoted all the account numbers (from memory about 3), it was always the same account but GE changed the account number a few times.
I have quoted exactly what it says in the letter

I would also point out at this time that the statements which Mrs xxxx has submitted showing that insurance premiums were taken after 8th September 1998 refer to a/c no xxxxxxxx. This account is not related to the above account.

The reason that i submitted statements after this date was because Santander said in the original letter that no premiums were paid after 8th Sep 1998 when I clearly had evidence to show otherwise. They did send me a wriiten apology and as a gesture of goodwill a chq for £30 was to be sent within 10 - 14 days. This was after I emailed the ceo of santander complaining. Three wks later I'm still waiting on the 30 quid!!
Would the fos maybe get involved with santander as i have it in writing that they told me lies???
