    Hi

I have just phoned M & S about my PPI on M&S credit card, sent off the questionairre mid April, my case hasn't been looked yet!!!! The girl was very nice and said they were still working on the cases before JD review. My case will not be looked at until End of Aug!:mad:
So hopefully you will not have to wait too long...
  • OMG OMG OMG!!!

I have just recieved a letter back from NRAM and not only have they looked at the loan I wrote to them about they also linked it to a previous loan. End result is £8,364.27!!! I cant believe it sooooo pleased.

Now just need to wait another 28 days for the payment, but hey its on its way :j

All this has come from just sendng a questionnaire - do it if you havent!

Just waiting for a letter back from the Halifax now :D

    Oooh Well Done!!
I'm also in the middle of a claim from NRAM - so just a word of advice, you'll need to hound them for the payment!!!
I'm now on 40 days & was today promised that the money has been sent 2 days ago from their bank and to expect it any day.
Last week they told me no later than yesterday I'd receive it.
    Good Luck!!

As far as I know, M+S are not covered by the FSA temporary time extension, this only covers:

    RBS
    HSBC
    Lloyds
    Barclays
And their associated banks (such as BOS, Nat West)

So I would be inclined to call M+S back and tell them they should have had an answer to you within the 8 weeks timeframe, not 16!

Se article HERE (after this article, HSBC were also given the extension)

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

    Some help (again) please.

Just rang Barclaycard re my ppi claim (remember they had categorically told me I never had PPI when I rang them, later found statements proving otherwise, have emailed ceo twice expressing my disgust, had call from a lady on behalf of his on Tues). Basically I rang them to find out the progress. Spoke a a nice lady who told me my claim is at the special investigtions unit on stage 3, anyone know what this means, when I asked her she just said that it had been assigned to someone specific. Does anyone know what this entails or has had previous experience of this?

    Hi

Have not long got here :D Dame Di lol :D and your not a pain lol bless X

First of all then they are saying they were not covered by the FSA, so in this case the FOS will not be able to investigate as they were not regulated by these, but the FLA is an alternative avenue.
The FLA going by many posts on here are not all that helpful, but there have been some success through them, so this is the direction you can try if the business does not overturn the decision in the following week or if you do not hear anything within the week.

If you ended going to the FLA and they state they're unable to help, then it will be a matter of contacting the FOS anyway, and they will possibly suggest the underwriter/insurer of the policy, but we will get to that stage if it comes to it, see what happens over the following week first. ;)

When my son made a complaint about a store card via Burtons, all letters were sent to Santander, so they had to investigate the complaint, and if they're the ones who sent the decision, then any further correspondence I believe should be sent back to them.

So just to cover yourself, I would still forward the letter to Santander and make them aware that a copy of this is also sent to GE Cap, it will probably be Santander that ends up dealing with it anyway.
The problem I'm having here is, when clicking on to GE Capital, it takes me back to GE Money (maybe they are the same business as such).

Personally though, I would send the letter to whoever's address is on the letter, as they are acting on behalf of GE, just like with my son's.;)
