Well Done on your success:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hi There...
Although my claim started last September, it took the judicial review to move things along...started again with a questionnaire Mid May...so that makes it around 8 weeks...so depends how you look at it...9 months or 8 weeks...but hang on in there, fingers crossed!!:):)0 -

I am going to go mad it if doesn't come tomorrow!!
My husbands letter of offer was posted from MBNA on 8th July but we only recieved it on 21st July, almost a week later!
On Monday I emailed the MBNA ceo to thank him personally for looking into the complaint and to say we were looking forward to recieving the cheque within the 28 days as per the letter. Got an email from them last night saying it had been posted out yesterday.
Really hope mine comes tomorrow so I can get it lodged but not holding up much hope tbh, seems whatever system they use, letters can take up to a week to arrive.0 -
Thanks
I lodged one of the complaints early December last year and the other one was about 18th April this year.
Actually I have wrote a letter to Halifax today because the calculations don't look right to me  i'm sure they've underpaid me!
The first loan was for £2500 and the PPI added to it was £411. I paid the loan off after 9 months when i got another loan with Halifax. So I would of had an early settlemnt figure. Well Halifax have only paid me £165.06 in refund of premiums, the rest is made up of interest. They haven't added any early settlement figure into the calculations!
The second loan was for £3650.00 and the PPI added to it was £919. I still had £700 outstanding on this loan. But again Halifax have underpaid me because they've calculated the refund of premiums is £621.70. Well there is no way that I still had £300 of PPI left on a balance of £700!!
Does anyone else think that doesn't sound right??:)
So do be careful and do check the calculations when you receive your good news
Good luck
I'll definately be checking the calcs, its seems that most of the banks aren't understanding what '8% simple' interest means - or how to add! I have a spreadhseet at home that i roughly calculated from other's explantions on here and also on th FOS website, and i am going to post the figures up here so that the experts can advise if I have worked out right or am kidding my self at hoping for the amount I have calcuated back....
It's horrible to feel that you dont want to question their calculations in case the withdraw the offer when at the end of the day its our money!!
As they say !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask !0 -

Finally.... after several phone calls, letters and emails I got through to someone at EGG for both my Credit card and Loan. Hopefully this has now set the ball in motion...
Happy from Liverpool
Well today I get two letters from EGG... first about my loan saying that they will be in touch in 8 weeks...
The second is from my Egg card. They say :
"Our online sales process:
Does not require you to take repayment protection insurance as a condition of the credit card.
Does not provide an advisory service.
Required you to positivly confirm that you wished to purchase this policy during the on line application.
Provided full terms and conditions of the policy and requested you to read them before submitting."
Can somone advise me what I should do now? The card was opened in 1999, is it upto me to prove this was the case at that time or them to prove it?? It was nearly 12 years ago....
Many thanks
Martin:(

Hi there Carlyberyl..
Started last Sep..but nothing happened until the judial review, then started claim process again in May...so not too long..( kind of!)...:)
If you have a claim...it looks as though there are speeding up their response times...:)0
