I put a claim in with Halifax on 21st April, when I spoke to them on Friday they told me it was with the redress team. I have just logged onto online banking and there is £1,110 in my account credited by cash yesterday, I can only think this is from Halifax, :j:j:j:j:j, but I shall ring them today and double check before I pay my credit card off, oh happy days.

I was thinking the same.
Even if I did only pay 9 payments, which I find very unlikely, I should still receive the interest on those 9 payments back.
What is confusing is that the 9 payments are the last 9 credit card payments and not the first 9.
So it isn't as if I have noticed it after 9 payments and cancelled it.
Why would it suddenly start after 27 months?????
Unless the cheating, robbing barstewards have just added it for the sake of it without telling me.
Looking forward to my call backI'm a secret crime fighter0 -

Sorry to be a pain, but am about to send a SAR to Barclays....I have 2 addresses...one in Leics...another in Knutsford...can someone here point me in the right direction..please?
Am a bit nervous about this one, 'cos I bank with them, and so say that I have little faith there, would be an understatement.....
Thanks

Hiya
Yes I have had a case maybe 2 that have gone as far as the ombudsman, generally they go along with the Adjudicator's decision, so the company your complaining of will have to accept the ombudsman's decision where they don't have to with the adjudicators.
Make sure its fast tracked as well.
If I recall correctly it was about 2 maybe 3 months before they passed mine on to the ombudsman after the adjudicators decision, but hopefully in your sister's case it will be quicker.
Good luck.
Ohmigod! This gets more ridiculous by the day!
After a relatively quiet week, my journalistic curiosity had gotten the better of me (btw that's what I'm doing at Uni) and having heard the conversation my sis had with the FOS adjudicator last week, and Norton Finance's rejection of the decision, we were still anxious to find out how NF were still trying to wriggle out of the decision. A subsequent conversation with NF has revealed that they're justifying the sale on the grounds that a pre-existing medical condition was never disclosed, yet their requirements for proof of income was the award letters from the DWP which not only stated the weekly amount my sister received in DLA, but also the level of her disability and WHY she received such a high amount. How stupid are these people!!???0 -
