Sorry me again

Currently sat on sofa surrounded by bank papers from halifax looking very :( well confused anyway lol

As i stated a couple of hours ago the lady from H called me today to say my ppi regarding my credit card had been passed over to calculations and redress so im just getting a rough estimate of how much i have paid, i will stick a figure on if someone could be so kind to let me know how the rest works, maths and %'s were def not my strong point @ school :(

The Minimum figure is £349.73 in repayment covers from the statements i can find but i do know there are some missing

Anyway i just found my paperwork regarding the loan i took out 2007 which i did state in my big complaint letter that i wanted them to look into every loan card overdraft etc i had had.
The following info on it is this:

Amount of credit (the cash loan) £2199.00
Amount of credit (the insurance loan  ) £286.89
Total being £2485.89 over 50 months.

Total i pay for cash is £2,911.20
Amount i pay for insurance loan £379.68
Total amount i pay is £3290.88

Apr for cash loan is 14.1% and same for insurance loan

Then goes onto say
(sorry if im boring you or writing stuff not necessary )
Cash price for insurance premium is £286.89
Total charge for credit on cash loan is £712.20
which consists of interest £712.20

Total charge for credit on insurance loan is £92.79
all interest again
Total being £804.99 @ 14.15%

So.... After all that ...

a) Does it seem like Halifax have JUST dealt with my cc ppi which i cancelled or just this you think? I was at work when she called and from what i could gather it was my cc ppi. And as this above was also in the letter but a bit further down it seemed someone else was getting it passed to them.

b) with the figures above is there anything i need to calculate from them incase they get in touch questioning this

sorry for yet again such along post xxxxx

Hey stop worrying :D:rotfl: stop apologising, that's an order :naughty::naughty::D,

By looking at this up to now, it does seem like its in regards of the CC, unless I have looked into this wrong, but I assumed it would be a different team or section then calculating the Credit Card ppi to that of loan PPI, but yet I may be wrong.

I think our lovely amersall will be able to tell on this when she's here tomorrow at some point xxxx;)

Im no expert and im sure someone will come along tomorrow with a better answer

but 215.00 x 48 =£10,320 which means approx £3k interest which IS possible depending on his interest rate at the time of taking the loan out,

I don't think you can tell just by those figures whether there was or not but i have contacted black horse lately too so there are plenty of email addresses on here where you could drop them a line and ask them to clarify the arrangement on the loan if you are unable to find any paperwork to go with it.

Sorry its not much help just thought id add my two-penneth and be a help rather than a hindrance lol xx

• Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has had any success claiming for a pre MBNA Abbey card? I have successfully reclaimed money from MBNA but only back to 2001. They have told me that the 11 years before that will have to be claimed from Abbey (now Santander). I will get in touch with them tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone has had any success in the past (I don't want to get my hopes up but it would really help)! :o

I put a claim in with Halifax on 21st April, when I spoke to them on Friday they told me it was with the redress team. I have just logged onto online banking and there is £1,110 in my account credited by cash yesterday, I can only think this is from Halifax, :j:j:j:j:j, but I shall ring them today and double check before I pay my credit card off, oh happy days. :D:D
• i put a claim in just to try didn't think i would be successful! just had a cheque for just over £1000 from halifax for ppi on a £3000 loan :j

Right, so we need GE money then? is that correct?:D;)

I hope GE money responds to this for you now, tell them you have received the decision through Santander, to make sure they go through the correct route here.

HLFeedback@ge.com

http://www.gemoney.co.uk/en/utility/contact_complain.html

Ask them to confirm this have been received, then I would also let Santander know by email that you have sent a further letter to GE Money as well.

Sorry to be a pain Dame Di (!!) but I recall the company is G.E Capital which I think is different to G E Money. Also re read the letter and they do not give me details of FOS but FLA Finance and Leasing Association...is this the same?? No leaflets or anything.
