Thank you...i have just emailed her again to say i have realized i will get little refund so not to cancel the PPI. I will contact the FOS tomorrow after work & let them know what has happened.

Lindsay had sent me a second email to say she is posting out a cd of my conversation and to please listen to this and that the fact that the loan was a single premium does not mean it was mis sold this is just the type of Insurance the lenders were offering at the time.

What a load of old tosh !!!! just goes to show what she knows.

The recording will not have anyone explaining the full terms and cost of this ppi, dont forget to send this to fos and the email where the stupid *******says this!!!!!

I will ring the FOS tomorrow and see what happens next...thank you;)xx
You keep on with this, you were mis sold and if FOS disagree then they are not doing their job properly, tell them what i put in my other post and leave it with them.Stress that it was not fully explained to you x.

Just had a letter from fscs saying that they are paying me compensation for my welcome loans to the sum of £7206.00 .

Just waiting for welcome direct now for my loans between 2003 and 2005
and Aviva for welcome loans before 2003

    Fingers crosses

Ask the FSCS about cancelling the ppi (if it is still running) as i believe you can get this back also, but if you do please take it off the loan to save you the extra interest.

Hi everyone, and sorry if going ver old ground....I have had a second letter from the Halifax stating that I will have a reply within 16 weeks from date they recieved my complaint. Is this normal for the Halifax?

Also had a further letter back from NRAM (Northern Rock) stating they have not resolved my query and will write to me again soon!

Shall I follow both these up with phone calls?

    THANKS !

Hey - halifax letter is standard - ive had the same -im hoping to get a reply / settlement early sept.

I am a little confused at the moment and I need guidance.... I have sent a FOS questionaire to my credit card lenders, saying that I was mis-sold PPI and I didnt want it. What do I do now? Just sit and wait or do I have to phone them to remind them...

    Hi Martin,

They should confirm with a letter they received your complaint within a week or 2 after receiving it.
They generally have 8 weeks to resolve or come to a decision, they may ask for more time, but all will be in writing.
So sit back for now, and hoping you will hear of a good outcome soon, good luck and please keep us posted, cheers.;)
