    I've been Money Tipped!

    Hi all,

It's great to hear how everyone else's claim is going. I have tried to claim before but got a resounding NO from HSBC.

Am I still able to try claim my PPI back? I had a HSBC loan in 2007 with PPI, I was poorly advised what it covered at point of sale.

It was a single top-loaded premium and I cancelled it part way through the term at the point I found I had been mis-sold and that it was useless. Premium was about £800, I probably paid £500 of that and £300 was removed from the loan total when I cancelled.

Just wondering if I have a chance to get that £500 back.

    Thanks all!

So today is day 28 of waiting for a cheque off MBNA which will 'be sent to me within 28 days'

It's not very likely to come is it?!! Anyone have the email address of the CEO so I can contact them as soon as my postie comes without my cheque today?

    Thanks

Hi, Ive been waiting 40 days now, Rang them yesterday and its just a sheer backlog of chqs going out. They have taken on extra staff but as MBNA are paying out to most people its tkaing them longer than they thought. So dont worry your chwq will be on way (like mine is)

    Hiya
I would most certainly give it another go, maybe it will discreetly be considered if you have already tried before.
When you said you tried before, did they send you a final decision with details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS)?
If it was the final letter then they should have given details of where to go from there is eligible or not.

But go on, complete the reclaim questionnaire, and send, and we will hope for the best for you, keep at them.
    Good luck.

The reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, remember to keep copies, also you may be aware already the standard weeks are 8 weeks they normally have to give a decision, but they may possibly ask for more time, as they and other banks have been given extra time to deal with these complaints, due to backlogs.;)

    Hi All.

Just had my letter from Egg about my loan asking for another month to respond to it.

Shame really as they settled my credit card about a month ago and both complaints were submitted at the same time.

    Here is hoping.

    Mark :(

I would just try to put it to the back of your mind until the end of august as they do not need to contact you until then and no doubt they wont till then! the swines! so you will just end up getting pee'd off even more :D

Received a letter today from the lovely Nerys.

Called her and she will let me have updates regularly.

Obviously once she returns from holiday.

Really funny when I called her and started off the conversation with 'I hope you enjoy your holiday, you are off on Friday aren't you?, going anywhere nice?' :rotfl::rotfl:

Freaked her out a bit until I told her that she had spoken to someone that I know.:D
