Hi,
I started the PPI reclaiming process by contacting the FOS back in April 2009. An adjudicator found in favour of my case in March 2010.
As yet the case has not been settled. Any ideas of my next move. I feel like I keep getting shoved to the back of the queue. I have chased the FOS up on numerous occasions but get the same reply about 'high volume of complaints'. Surely first come first served. Has anyone else got a complaint outstanding by 2+ years?
Many thanks0 -
i have been awaiting a decision from hfc and finally got one today saying that they have only part upheld my claim so i have been offered the ppi payments made plus 8% interest. Does this sound right? i only ask as i got alot more from my tesco credit card in interest?
Hia, i am not sure as i am only new to this myself but it probably will be right if you payed your PPI monthly - they will give you back what you have payed plus 8% interest - which is good :money: Well Done!!
I would still ask some of the experts on here as they are brill & know everything!!:j xx0 -

CS - firstly, can I ask when you first submitted the HFC claim?
Secondly, what reason did they give for not paying the interest that you paid on the PPI?
Did you pay off the loan early, or default on it in some way?
If you saw through the entire term of the loan (or if they failed to give a rebate on the PPI when you paid off early), you should receive:
All PPI premiums
All interest charged (at whatever APR % they were charging)
8% simple interest from the date of each premium being paid to the current date
So, if it was a single premium (lump sum) PPI, you should get 8% simple interest on that total amount from day 1 of the loan to today
If it was monthly premiums, it gets a little more complicated and you need to calculate the 8% from each date of the premium to today
If you put figures up, there are a few brainboxes about on here that I'm sure would be happy top calculate what you should get?-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Yes jonnytp, my claim with Halifax has been in since jan 2010, the adjudicator gave favor to the bank, so it has gone to be heard by the ombudsman and like you...still in the back of the cue...i know they are busy as there are masses but they seem to be dealing with the new ones really quickly. Hey-ho, i dont hold out any hope but yours sounds as its on the winning side!!:D. Hope you hear soon and good luckxx0 -

Hi Jonny
what bank does your claim relate to?
If the bank did not pay out within 4 weeks of the adjudicator decision, your case should have been put to the ombudsman (final decision) team so they could make a final decision - this would then be legally binding on the bank
Given that you had a positive from the adjudicator some 16 months ago, this wait is unnaceptable-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Hi,
Many thanks for your replys.
My claim is with Lloyds. You are right that as the adjudicator found in my favor and Lloyds failed to respond, it was then sent to an Ombudsman for a final decision. Im still waiting for the Ombudsman to look at my case. This is the FOS who are slow. They told me no longer than August 2010. Then told me within 15 months from adjudication. Not sure how I can get it finalised. Could I go straight back to Lloyds and miss out the FOS.
Cheers,
Ian0
