mmmmm im just wondering with all this talk about santander and store cards its interesting to see that some one has been refunded as i also sort of had my claim through my burtons menswear store card turned down by santander they told me that it was a bread winner policy so my partner if i had one would of been able to claim even if i was a full time student at the time of taking the card out! they also said i had paper work through explaining i had ppi and i could cancel it if i wanted to at the time of taking it out, they said if they are to investigate more they would need proof that i wasnt paying national insurance payments back (waiting to hear back my hm revenue and customs regards this) because i was a full time student, but all this talk has got me wondering are santander giving me the run around as i took my store card out back in 1996/1997 and thay havent said anything about not being covered under fos before 2005,so am i gonna go through all this rigmarole just for them to turn around and said oh no sorry we werent covered back then so you cant have any back???

With them being a bank (Santander) even though Store card wonder if your still regulated though?
So your still waiting for your docs from the HMRC then I take it?
If they do that to you and tell you after all you have done by contacting the HMRC, then I would then make a separate complaint on the way you have been unfairly treated, that would make the muppets think x

Just thought I would add my story on here too, I had a 7.5k loan with mbna, have been told I will recieve a refund cheque in next six weeks, however they couldnt tell me how much it should be for over the phone! so just got to wait and see! the loan was a while ago and I have no idea how much the ppi was! she did say they were paying out to all complaints! so just waiting on the letter! :-) and hoping its a decent amount as I really need the money now lol!

Great news, well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

    Work in progress
    1. Tesco Credit Card PPI
    2. Paymentshield Mortgage PPi ( anyone had any dealings with this lot ?)

However, couldnt possibly have had any results without the help and advice of you all, particularly Di

are santander giving me the run around
    Yes
they told me that it was a bread winner policy so my partner if i had one would of been able to claim even if i was a full time student at the time of taking the card out!
If you didn't have a partner the policy must have been missold
    Did you have a partner
were they named on the form?
Can either you or they or santander prove that you did or not
they said if they are to investigate more they would need proof that i wasnt paying national insurance payments back (waiting to hear back my hm revenue and customs regards this) because i was a full time stude
    nt,
Why what relevance does this have? They accepted at the time you were a fulltime student
The banks will have been inundated with claims not all of them genuine
They are on a damage limitation exercise to keep payouts to a minimum.
They know they are guilty of misselling the provisions they have made prove that.
