Hi does anyone have the addresses for ppi compaints for both Lloyds tsb and southern percific personal loans limited
thank you
Hiya
Lloyds TSB - if you directly on their website, all details of reclaiming, the questionnaire and address are all there.;)
http://www.lloydstsb.com/payment_protection_insurance_complaints.asp
Will have to check the other company out, but if you ring the financial ombudsman service in working hours, they should hold all the address details as well. x
Right, just checked on the FSA register and in regards of Southern Pacific, found this address here.

One down, three to go!
Just got a cheque from Egg for over £6,700 for the last loan I had with them, paid off in 2006.
I complained in Feb about two loans I had with them, and the second, which they've paid out on, was a top-up from the first in 2003, so I'm expecting another cheque soooooon.
Then with my husband's two from Lloyds we should be doing ok!0 -

Try to keep positive with this, i know it is hard but it will not get you or your sis any further forward by thinking about this, when this is all sorted (and it will be!!) you will wonder why you allowed your selves to get so het up about this.
I am not demeening what is happening to you both, but i feel your healths are more important than any "financial institution" and you need to step back and take a deep breath and put this in perspective before one or both of you are taken really ill with the stress of this, everyone on here is on your side 100% so if you want a rant to get it off your chest :eek: then come on here and do just that:D:D
Please dont let this take over to the detriment of both of your sanity:(:(:( at the end of the day, you have to remember that you are dealing with "ruthless people" and no amount of talking or letter writing will make them bend,or move any faster.
I am with you all the way with this and i would hate to see this taking over your lives,be strong, take a deep breath and let this come to fruition at the pace that it will, give your sis our best from this site :A and keep your pecker upxxxxxxxxxx
With reference to phoning and asking about reducing the payment before your win, then do not do this, this will cause arrears on the account and extra interest, this will take up a % of the win,so please do not do this.
I hope it is not too long before you post with a win :j:j:j
And do as Di says and email your mp and tell him about this situation and how your sis was spoken too on the phone by the
"jumped up person".
xxxx.
I agree with Amersall and Di. Time to get some more help, contact your local MP and or if Scotland your MSP. I'm sure a letter from them will more than kick their backsides into shape as well. The FSa is also a good point of contact too, I'm pretty sure their handbook gives direction in regards to this, unfortunately GE and others are still regarding this.
Read this part of the FSA new guidance in regards to redress.

3.7.1 E Where the firm concludes in accordance with DISP App 3.6 that the complainant
would still have bought the payment protection contract he bought, no redress
will be due to the complainant in respect of the identified breach or failing,
subject to DISP App 3.7.6E.
3.7.2 E Where the firm concludes that the complainant would not have bought thepayment protection contract he bought, and the firm is not using the alternative
approach to redress (set out in DISP App 3.7.7E to 3.7.15E) or other appropriate
redress (see DISP App 3.8), the firm should, as far as practicable, put the
complainant in the position he would have been if he had not bought anypayment protection contract.
3.7.3 E In such cases the firm should pay to the complainant a sum equal to the total
amount paid by the complainant in respect of the payment protection contractincluding historic interest where relevant (plus simple interest on that amount).
If the complainant has received any rebate, for example if the customer cancelled
a single premium payment protection contract before it ran full term and

(a) subject to DISP App 3.7.5E, where there remains an outstanding
loan balance, the firm should, where possible, arrange for the loan
to be restructured (without charge to the complainant but using any
applicable cancellation value) with the effect of:
(i) removing amounts relating to the payment protection
contract (including any interest and charges); and
(ii) ensuring the number and amounts of any future repayments
(including any interest and charges) are the same as would
have applied if the complainant had taken the loan without
the payment protection contract; or
(b) where the firm is not able to arrange for the loan to be restructured
(e.g. because the loan is provided by a separate firm), it should pay
the complainant an amount equal to the difference between the
actual loan balance and what the loan balance would have been if

You can email your MP at any time, tell them the whole story, and I'm sure you'll hear back from them very soon. You could always check to see when their next constiuency surgery is.
As the others have said we're all here to help and listen to when you want to rant about it.

Hi folks
My other half managed to successfully do a PPI claim with Egg for a loan back in 2004. We sent the questionnaire off end of April, got an acknowledgement etc, chased after 8 weeks, got a we need more time letter just under 2 weeks ago and a settlement cheque today for £5254.85 which includes 8% interest
We are thrilled to bits with this. Thanks very much Martin's MSE!! We managed to claim back PPI with an HSBC loan back in 2009 and got just over £6000 back with that one.
Now we await Lloyds TSB but apparently we have to wait until end of August now for that one. Will post news from that when we get it...0 -
One thing that confuses me about the accompanying letter for my cheque. The third par says: "Please be aware that this letter is for information purposes onely. As you have made a previous successful claim on your policy which is greater than the total refund due amount, in line with FSA guidelines no further redress is payable."
It makes no sense to me! I never claimed on the policy as I didn't know it existed?0 -
I read through the advice on this site regarding reclaiming PPI and felt I had a good case. On submitting an internet based loan application I was contacted by phone to be asked why I hadn't applied for PPI, what funds did I have in place to cover my loan should I lose my job or be long term sick and was then told I could only have the loan if I took out PPI. My claim was on the basis I didn't need or want the PPI and was not advised I could source this protection myself. I completed the form from this site and NRAM have upheld my case and are refunding all premiums totalling £1052 + interest of £222. A brilliant result. Thanks:j0

hi, could i please ask how long it took them to send you out a claim form? i put in an initial enquiry on their website on 27th june and was told they were now dealing with backlogs from enquiries at the beginning of june so there may be a wait for mine to be assessed. i havent received anything from them yet. i heard from a different member on here that it took about a week for them to send a claim form for him after initial enquiry - i guess this was before the backlog!
thanks.0 -
