Just a thought but would it be worth e-mailing the CEO and asking for him to look into the decisions being made on these cards due to inconsistencies and suggesting they are reviewed before we go to FOS.

    What do people think?

In my opinion, yes :D;) defo worth giving it a go and also make them aware of the FOS otherwise. Good luck. x

hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can help, i took out a loan with welcome finance in about 2002 and finished paying it in 2006 & definatley had ppi on it as the sales rep told me i had to have it to get accepted, does this mean i cant claim my ppi back because it was before 2005, any help would be great as i dont know a great deal about ppi, thank you

    Hi there

It makes no difference, if its only now you realised then you can try making a reclaim now.
However, it seems the business are now in default and claims are being made through the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS), I would check with them first, but these may to what I am aware of dealing with cases sold from Jan 2005, check to rule it out first though.

I think in the info first link it will say what they cover, but failing that ring the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) who will possibly suggest then to take it to the underwriter/insurer direction as they have done with many in the same position.

I take it that it was Welcome finance that sold and brokered your loan then?

Hope this info helps and good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.;)

Good point but as my complaint is already with the FOS I think I'll present them with this new information and ask Santander for a response
