Hi, has anyone had any dealings with either of these two banks. I have received a letter from both saying the 31st August deadline. I put my claim in last August and seems to be dragging. Just wondering if anyone has had any success stories with them lately. Thanks.
This is the new deadline for all original complaints put in before the Judicial Review to have them finalised with, you could always email the ceo, Stephen Hester at RBS or Senior Oratrio(?) at Lloyds Banking group, email addresses on this thread somewhere.
Unlike you're name you will have to be patient, and hopefully the banks will look at your claims well before August, or you can look on the dull side of it, you could complain to FOS and wait another 18 months or so, end of August doesn't seem so bad anymore?
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Fair enough, thanks for your reply.

That would aggrieve me somewhat as someone who has never missed a payment, they shouldn't then be able to choose how and when I pay back the terms of the loan we've both agreed. And surely a new loan agreement would have to be made?

Hi there,is the loan still running that you claimed mis sell on?, as this will benefit you, as the ppi will be taken off this loan thereby reducing the balance and the monthly ppi payment will be taken off your loan payment, you do not have a new loan as such, this is the same loan over the same term and apr as the one you have now.

If there are no arrears then i think they should give this refund back to you, (some banks do this) but as you say you should have the choice of the money coming back to you.

ANYWAY got in from work and decided to call Shop direct re my 2 catalogues. The lovely lady said there are a lot of notes on the file, do i mind giving her 10 mins to read through and she will call me back. (ahhh how nice) i said ok yeah no problem.

amersall, I think the op's first post said that this current loan didn't have ppi on it, and all others had been paid off, and from the post you replied to said she hadn't even missed a payment. me thinks that s/he should be entitled to all offers directly back to them, but whether the banks will see it that way I don't know.
I think also the FSA handbook states that loans that are live and found in favour should be put in a position they would've been in if the ppi hadn't been taken, but that doesn't apply in this case.
Personally if I win my complaint, if I get the money back i'd be using it to pay off the other stuff I have and re-address the payment I make to my current loan by paying extra.(amersall - not having a go on your comments though, you're more of an expert than me)
Thanks to all the competition posters.

    Hi
I put my claim in with MINT (RBS) back in March. My claim has been upheld. I heard from them on Friday advising a cheque would be posted within 28 days. Happy days! Hopefully you'll hear something soon as I also received a letter telling me I would hear back before end of Aug. I didnt expected to hear from them so soon. Fingers crossed for you! :D

    Jax -

was this a MINT credit card?

If so, what grounds did you give for misselling?

    (congrats!!!)

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

    How dare you?
    Only kidding :rotfl::p

I am not more expert than anyone else on here, i help with things i know about, or that i did with my claims in the past.
    But thanks anyway :A

The op said that they should not have to have a new loan?, i did not understand this as if the ppi was not on this loan, then they should get the refund back to them surely?.

If this loan has no ppi on,then there is no way that the bank can take the ppi refund off this loan and reset it.
I would think this refund should go back to the op.
