    Hi Nanna,

Congratulations. Think I will go down the email CEO route. What did you put in your emails?

    Hi there,

I just said that i was still awaiting an update and that I would appreciate some indication of what was happening.

    Nanna :)

I have an ongoing PPI claim with Barclays.

I have a current loan which does not have PPI on it. Are Barclays going to make me pay any amount refunded against this loan?

I would really rather not have to do this, and would prefer the cash paid into my current account. I have seen some old threads about them trying to do this, but I hope this might have changed.

    Advice appreciated!
It really is up to the bank, hopefully they will give you the money.
    Fingers crossed.

I put my claim in with MINT (RBS) back in March. My claim has been upheld. I heard from them on Friday advising a cheque would be posted within 28 days. Happy days! Hopefully you'll hear something soon as I also received a letter telling me I would hear back before end of Aug. I didnt expected to hear from them so soon. Fingers crossed for you! :D

Fair enough, thanks for your reply.

That would aggrieve me somewhat as someone who has never missed a payment, they shouldn't then be able to choose how and when I pay back the terms of the loan we've both agreed. And surely a new loan agreement would have to be made?

Dont get this - we've regularly seen people on here that have had payout letters after 1 week, so why are you being treated so differently?

    :(

well i suppose i musnt grumble as i have been very lucky with mine i know alot of people on here have had to wait along longer than me so once my egg one comes through its just this burtons menswear card with santander which i think everyone has had trouble with store cards sure it will come right in the end

I have been waiting since May time - the 8 weeks are up on the 7th July but I am expecting another letter saying they need more time - or a letter saying they are not upholding it!!! Mine was for a credit card with them so I am not holding out much hope!!

Email Lynne Peacock again and add copy of original email and say that you have still not heard anything, she leave soon, but I'd keep emailing until they get back to you.
