Well done on all your stories- gives me hope, although I have been waiting on mine since October now!

Its only on a £450 credit card, but ive had it for 6 years - even just a little bit would help me on clearing some of my mounting debts :(

Starting to seriously get to me, feel like im swimming in debt at the moment! just wanna clear some of the itty-bitty debts like a flipping 250 from payday uk and keep my larger credit card which is about 2 grand and pay it off when i can.

Got a letter from Barclaycard saying they are working through and will make an offer for settlement before 31st august - lets just hope its not a few days before, as i need this sorted!!

Wishing you luck and £450 is still a lot or money and the interest will also add up as well on top of that, so fingers crossed.;)

Got a small reclaim today from NRAM, lol we only made one payment with them before we moved and got £84 back, not a lot but hey its our money, so 2 down 2 to go, Nottm B/S and Norton, the Norton one could be the biggie we paid 8k for 5 years ppi and their 8 weeks are up on sat i expect a letter asking for the further 8 weeks.
  • Just a quick post to say that I recently won compensation for my credit card PPI from HSBC. In total I was awarded £4700 for the last 6 years payments plus interest. HSBC did not admit fault, but did say that they would repay the money in good will. It was a simple letter back in March, and no need to go through the ombudsman.
I would say to everyone what I told my friends - If you think you were mis-sold the PPI just complete the letter and send it off, it took at the most an hour of my time, and has resulted in a substantial sum being awarded. Even if the lender says no, you haven't lost anything.
Many thanks for the advice this site gives, if I hadn't read it here I would never have sent off the letter.
