    Hi Steve

What is the reason you want to ring them if you don't mind me asking?

I understand some have tried making reclaims by ringing, but otherwise if its in regards of a reclaim, you can do this by completing the reclaim questionnaire, and keep copies for your evidence, and in case you need to go back to this again.
    Good luck.

    Hi Di
Thanks for your advice,I phoned Santander today (only after reading on an earlier posting that this sped things up). As you advised me earlier,I checked my online bank statements back to the time of the original loans, got the exact dates/repayment sums and the account numbers!! Wow!! They took all my details and the focus of my complaints, the lady was very cheery?! and helpful, and said they should be in contact soon!
I can't thank you ( and Amersall) enough for your advice, and here's hoping it turns out well.
I will keep you posted xx

Sorry a bit late answering !.
All you say (if you have not phoned them yet :o)
Is that you want to claim for mis sell of ppi, give them the account number you have and tell them there is another one you wish to claim as well.

They may ask you for reasons you think you were mis sold, you know what they are so tell them, i would think they would not ask you anymore than that.
You just tell it as it is.

Hi,Phoned them today, had no reason to be nervous, the lady was very helpful, and chirpy!! Not what I was expecting! She said they will get back to me within 8 weeks ( I understand this is standard.)
    Fingers crossed!!
Thanks again for your help,i will keep you posted

    • What were you reclaiming: cover on mail order
    • Who was the provider: La Redoute
    • How much did you get back: £428
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After one eMail sent to their "contact us" link on the website
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
This has got to be the fastest "win" on here so far.... sent eMail on 20th June 2011, received offer and promise of a cheque in the post today!!! That is 3 days in total!! Cheque not here yet but how impressive is that service???!!!
The simply said because they did not have a recording of the call when I may have agreed to the cover they would be happy to repay with not further questions .... hooray:rotfl:

WOW - that was quick - CONGRATS :j:j:j:j
