Hi all just wondering if someone could help me please?? Just received an offer from HFC Bank of £4702.20 for mis-selling of ppi and have sent my acceptance offer back by recorded delivery which has been received by the coventry branch. Does anybody know approximately how long it will take to receive the money in my bank??. Many thanks for your help!!!! :money:
Thank you0 -
I had 13.5k worth od credit card debt with lloyds/egg/virgin. I have no paperwwork etc as the debt was back in 2004-2008. Egg and virgin say they cant help because they dont have my a/c details, and lloyds say that their a/c details dont go back that far!!! I have contacted the ombudsman, and await their reply. Is their any hope?, has anyone else got ppi charges back without their a/c details to hand? ive prob spent 6 hrs of time on phone/writing letters. Should of just gone to work in that time.0

with lloyds, if the loans etc where arranged in branch drop in on your local branch. All my details couldnt be found until i did this and then they all turned up!:D
I found that Egg have been pretty helpful with having loan account info and gave me mine over the phone these dated back to 1998:D
if its a Egg CC these have been sold onto Barclays so they might have any Egg CC info not 100% sure on that.
Failing all that you could request SAR's for these accounts details are on thos forum and a template letter:D:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Hiya
Is there a contact number?
When my son received his letter from Santander, I'm sure it was with a red logo, but that was over a year ago.
Is there any sort of address on the letter at all maybe?
Hi Di,
Thanks for the reply! Yes, have given telephone number with their reference, I suppose I should just call them to find out if this covers Cahoot, Abbey and MBNA! Think, I've answered my own questions! lol:
Thanks xLong Hauler No: 51

Update for those that need to know! Santander does have Cahoot, MBNA and Abbey under them now, so all three ppi accounts should be dealt with by them. Mind you the woman I spoke to told me that she couldn't tell me which account the letter belonged to as their system was down. In any event I should receive three separate notification/acknowledgement. Somebody is going to get back to me within 24 hours! so will see!!
Will keep this thread posted.
Thanks all!Long Hauler No: 51

Do you have any advise about what I should do? Wether I should keep nagging and chasing them with phone calls or HOW long it should be till they make some sort of decision.... they`ve not given a final decision even, so I guess thats good in one way at least they are still going to look at it..... I have left it with the bank as I don`t see any point in now taking it away from HSBC and starting it with the FOS behind thousands of others already waiting.
Am I being impatient?? The banks decided to back down from the High court but why is it Barclays can say they will just pay out and HSBC just seem to be dragging the heals over all this....PLEASE if ANYONE out there has heard from HSBC bank since the back down from the court case perhaps you will say on here so I know for sure they are actually dealing with our complaints and not ignoring us altogether untill we keep ringing them. Kindest Regards to You All.... Carolyn
Hi there, I too have a complaint with HSBC which they received in November 2010.
Hadn't heard anything at all since the end of the Court Hearing- so on Tuesday last week I emailed that Chief Executive (chiefexecutivehsbcbank@hsbc.com) explaining I'd not heard anything back, and was getting a bit frustrated etc.... Had a letter through from HSBC the following day, saying that they are looking into it now.
Then on Saturday, I received a settlement offer of just over £5,000!!
I sent back my acceptance letter over the weekend, and called them yesterday to ensure that they had received it- which they have. I've been told the money should be in my account in 3-5 working days... not sure why it takes so long, but will chase them again tomorrow!!
I want to be really happy about this, but want to have the money in my account before I let myself get too excited.... but hopefully if it all goes through ok, then this will make such a huge difference in my life... so just want to thank you all for your advice, which I've been following on the forum since I started all of this back in November!
Good luck Carolyn in your claim with them!!0 -

how much was the ppi total and how long have you paid this and is the loan still running?.
Put you any money you like that your redress will be a lot more than 450 !!!!!!!!!!
Hi
The total PPI was for £15,100 but we paid the loan off after 2 years (24 months), which was about 3 and a half years ago now!! I think it was over 240 months originally!! I cant honestly remember if we had to pay any of the PPI back when we cleared the balance.0 -
This is quitre weired. Capital One refused my claim on the pretence that I had ticked the box and that they had sent out the terms and conditions which would have explained that I could have cancelled at any point. I have just learned that today they have reduced my balance by about £400 but the person who I spoke to didnt know why!!!! It isnt a massive balance anyway (what I have paid in PPI over the years would have totally cleared the whole balance) so I do wonder why suddenly they have reduced it by around £400!!
Has this happened to anyone else yet with Captial One? Just very interested to know.0 -

You will get the ppi back less the rebate they gave you when you settled plus the payments (24) that you made with the interest on those plus 8 %!! not good with calcs but that is a lot of money!!
Dont let this company take your win, do as i said previous post.0 -
