Hi Hon, I have had no offer as yet from them, as they are still looking into it for me. I honestly thought that Galdstone take their fee then either pay the remainder off the loan and credit card or post it to me.

I would try to contact them just to be sure.
I am really not sure how it works when using a company to be honest, but hope this sorts out soon, fingers crossed x

  • Hi Di and All.... just an update since the last post I made, I rang the HSBC earlier today re my PPI claim and have been told that my claim is in a pile, and they are at this moment in time dealing with claims recieved in AUGUST 2010... my claim was put in about October/ November 2010 and I was told that I should now wait untill end August this year to hear from them by letter form, when I might get a reply as to wether my claim is being upheld....... or not, I`ve been waiting this long but still got nowhere and it seems as though they are still giving me the run around..... Do you have any advise about what I should do? Wether I should keep nagging and chasing them with phone calls or HOW long it should be till they make some sort of decision.... they`ve not given a final decision even, so I guess thats good in one way at least they are still going to look at it..... I have left it with the bank as I don`t see any point in now taking it away from HSBC and starting it with the FOS behind thousands of others already waiting.
Am I being impatient?? The banks decided to back down from the High court but why is it Barclays can say they will just pay out and HSBC just seem to be dragging the heals over all this....PLEASE if ANYONE out there has heard from HSBC bank since the back down from the court case perhaps you will say on here so I know for sure they are actually dealing with our complaints and not ignoring us altogether untill we keep ringing them. Kindest Regards to You All.... Carolyn

    Carolyn,

I have had a complaint in since October. My loan is still running, with the PPI attatched. I am frusterated at paying £50 a month for a product I didnt want and dont need. They told me to get rid I would have to re-structure the loan. When they worked out the figures it left me no better postion than with it attatched. They are getting away with it and I get so annoyed watching the money go out my bank every month. I feel like cancelling the whole direct debit for it, see if that gets their attention. Am going to keep at them on the phone every week up until August.
Now if they dont up hold my complaint, after making me wait so long, I will make that fact a big issue when refering to FOS. To make me wait so long, even after I tried to cancel the ppi, then not up hold in my favour is grounds for serious complaint handling imo.
    Hang in there.
  • I WILL NEVER give up....... I wont let the Ba* * * * d s grind me down.......... it was my daughters hard earnt money and now is in hardship because of it so I WANT to win for her sake Thanks Everyone I am most gratefull x

Hi Di, i have just spoken with a nice chap at Gladstone Brookes and i explained my situation and he told me not to worry about their fees at the moment as even if the refunds go off my loan and cc they would help me re paying their bill by coming to some sort of arrangement with them, but he did add that RBS sometimes pay the customer upfront. So figers crossed that will be the case. Thaks so much xx

  • There are some things im actually doing on my own without using a company to do it for me. Capital one cc from 2004, Halifax cc from 2001, my husbands current cc and a lambard direct loan from 2005. Fingers crossed some of these will pay up! Could really do with some luck at the moment as im in a financial mess. Clear debts then NO more credit Ever!! Gl all x
