    Hi all, quick question.
I'm sure iv seen a post relating to my question but I can't find it now. (sorry)
Iv been through my old bank statements and found direct debit numbers for old loans. There are 4 or 5 different loans from around 1997 to 2002. My statement shows a sort code and account numbers, would this be enough information to try and make a claim for ppi mis-selling? I guess my first step is to contact santander as the loans were with abbey. Does anyone know who to contact and if I can get any information about the loans with just an account number?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there

Yes that is fine, and if you know you were sold and mis sold ppi, you can continue to make a reclaim by just completing the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step3

I assume now it would be Santander as they have taken over from Abbey.
I take it its the address for complaints on the link below.
    http://www.santander.co.uk/csgs/Satellite?appID=abbey.internet.Abbeycom&c=Page&canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1210607166846&empr=Abbeycom&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FPage%2FWC_ACOM_TemplateA2

    Complaints
    Santander UK PLC
    PO Box 1125
    BRADFORD
    BD1 9PG

    Hope this helps, good luck.:)

Thanks Di, do you ever sleep?haha.
I will definitely get on with that as I know I was paying ppi, I was worried at the time that if I said no to ppi then I wouldn't be approved.
Is it better to send them all as separate claims?
Is it enough to just write and claim with only the account numbers? Do I need to contact Santander first and ask for more information, or is it up to them?
    Thanks in advance.

Your very welcome ;) yes in dribs and drabs lol :D.

If mis sold for the same reasons, there is no harm in just the one application but make sure you enclose each account number that applies, or otherwise complete separately.

If you prefer though, complete separately, personally I would do it this way just in case of any confusion on the reclaims.;)

    Good luck.

I made telephone call to NRAM (Northern Rock) concerning a PPI complaint on 09/05/11 and received a letter dated 07/06/11 upholding my complaint. I have accepted their offer and after speaking to them today I am expecting payment to my bank on Monday 27/06/11.

We sent our complaint letter on 20/5/11 and got a letter back from them saying they had received our complaint, dated 26/5/11. We haven't heard anything else from them since that letter.

Did they phone or write to you first?

    Hi there

Due to the backlog of complaints made 2010 that have been on hold are being looked into first in an orderly date sort of thing, however when you were informed of an offer and said by August you may still hear before that, but this is the timescale they have been given on complaints on around your timescale.
Good news on the offer though and of course the interest is adding up too.:T
