Hi Yes I've had the same I faxed my acceptance back on the 17th May. When i Phoned on the 7th June asking whats happening they said it was still on the Casehandlers desk and they were very busy I told them I didn't think it was good enough and they told me it would be dealt with ASAP and they would send it to the Leeds office as they are the one's dealing with the refund.
So I called them yesterday and I had a snotty lady on the phone telling me they have had over 300 refunds to deal with from headoffice this week alone and she wasn't going to check if mine was amongst them.!!!!!!! Her attitude was terrible, not once did she apologise for the wait. I felt I was an inconvenice to her. She told me I probably would'nt get it for another few weeks. I also told her that I had cancelled the PPI on the loan but was still paying it but again she said it would be looked into !!
    TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!
If I don't get any joy by next Friday I will go to CEO !!

When did you send your acceptance back ??????

This is nothing short of a "P" take

All banks now have the faster payments service in place and in most cases the limit for this is around 100k, so safe to say you fit into this

So, the way I see it, its

    Account number + Name x 300
    Match amount due to name
Hit enter = transfer to customer and PPI complaint marked as "Settled"

Which would settle 300 payments in the space of about 5 minutes

The only manual part would be the original input of the names and account numbers from the "yes please, I'll take your rather begrudging refund" sent back by the customers and I cannot see any excuse for that taking more than 10 minutes per customer, so 300 x 10 minutes = 50 hours

Unless they only have 2 members of staff on processing the refunds for their entire national PPI complaints system, why in hell's name would it take 1 week to get 300 through?

(The above is very generous, I wouldnt mind betting its a case of scan the letter in and its all processed via barcode or OCR of the account details)

Just a damn good excuse to hold on to the case for another few weeks/months, nothing more

How long have you waited for it?
  • Hi Im new to this site, i sent a letter of complaint to capital one credit card and they sent me my original copy of the agreement, so the thing is the box to request ppi is ticked but i did not tick it and it is not consistant with all my other ticks on the agreement form. So basically they are saying they are doing nothing in regards to my complaint! has anyone had the same problem as me? I called the OB yesterday and they are now sending me a form to fill in. Thanks in advance

    Hi

Im the same regarding MBNA got 2cases pending i am also due a response now been over 30days and still no sign of a letter regarding case #1 I have seen on the site people getting letters through over past few dates with early june dates on so i assume they have a huge backlog yet like us we still want to know whats happening....will keep u posted
Thanks for advice I only put in my complaint at start off march 2011 so id say im at the bottom of the list just think they have some cheek to say they would reply by such a date then dont bother but if you missed a payment wouldnt be long in slapping a £12 pound charge on the account !!
Will also keep you updated thanks

Hi there, fill the form in and send it back with a copy of the agreement and tell them to compare the ticks.
