hi i am new to this and i was hoping someone could help me.
i have taken out some loans over the past few years as i borrowed more money each time. i have always said no to ppi but would i still be able to reclaim?
Unless you have the agreements that show ppi.0 -

Just thought I would update you on my progress with NRAM (Northern Rock). Established a complaint with them over the phone, after 5 weeks got letter of offer, offer accepted.:j:j
Just chased acceptance and payment of offer- they say could take another 3 weeks for payment to reach me- not entirely happy about that!:mad:
Anybody had a similar response?
Hi was this for Loan or CC?0 -
Lender: HSBC
complaint: Told PPI was essential not optional
Claim posted: May 10th 2011
Decision received: June 17th 2011
It seems my email to HSBC CEO helped speed things along (thanks to info. found in these forums), I received a letter today admitting that they had no evidence to discredit my claim and have offered to pay off the remainder of my loan plus pay me £12,121.52 (which includes £2,597.22 interest). Total with loan repaid £13,052.27!!
This covers PPI on 4 loans taken out in the last decade or so. To be honest I'm amazed.
Thanks to all on here for their information and support!0 -

Hi all,
Just a quick update, i've appied for my partners 2 cc's and have a letter from mbna for both adv of 28 days.
see what happens then!!!!
Also on a loan that was taken out with welcome is being pursued by a 3rd party.
I asked for the agreement which i signed... i have recd letters from FSCS re welcome and beleive that this was through a 3rd parties effort.
But, i started this process in May 2010 and have really had no response from this firm.
The agreement states "You understand that you have the option to of not using our services and can instead claim directly without any charge. you also have 14 day cooling off period from the sate of this agreement to change your mind and cancel your instruction without any charge"
Now, in linght of what's gone with the JR, do i advise that i wish to cancel the contract and have no charges towards me?
Thanks

As you can do this yourself now you could write to the company and ask to terminate their services, if you do not think they have dealt with your claim eg keeping you updated etc.
You will be over the cooling off period by now! so they may charge you for work they have done to date.
Also, FSCS are paying redress to accounts (if the loan is still running)
so you will end up paying the company whatever the fee is.0 -
Had some good news today, 5 weeks after putting cliam on via online MBNA have said they have upheld my claim of £3500 in payments during the course, £8,000 in interest and £1,300 at 8%, giving me £13,000 !
Didn't expect them to come back as quick, but so glad i didn't go via a claim agency as would of lost a load of that in commission !!0 -
