    Well done! :j
I found out last week that Black Horse are upholding both of my PPI complaints. I sent the acceptance form back straight away. Just waiting figures now.

I don't mean to sound nosey but when does your claim date back to? And how much of the money you are getting back was the actual cost of the PPI? And how much of it is interest?
Just trying to get a rough idea of what to expect as I haven't a clue! It definitely won't be as much as yours, although that would be nice! :D

    Thanks in advance :)

You can see the sums in this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/44512392#Comment_44512392

I'm still seeking clarification from anyone who can help check the figures?

    Well done to everyone!

  • I just want to warn people of a company that I have done some work for called MONEY RETURN. They are Blackburn based and out to con customers into signing up for their services. I know they are not alone in this but I know they are unethical in their approach.

I have just had a final response letter from JD williams saying that the PPi was sold to me over the phone and theperson who sold it followed the guide lines and quotefor this reason we have listed we believe the policy was fair and was cancelled in 2009 ,thenwhilst weaccept you have now chosen to cancel the policy, like other insurances we do not usually offer a refund for protection you have already benefited from.I have never claimed and I had this ppi for 6 yrs,
How do I go to the ombudsmen.
I never cancelled the policy ,its called pap which I thought was something I had to have .
can any one help,Im so mad.
I ran into difficulties with my payments and was still charged the pap and late payment charges.
I am now with payplan and pay this debt back.
    thanks in advance:(:(:(

hi guys well done on the success stories lately not good news for me today letter from egg saying they are not upholding my complaint because
    online sales process
does not require you to take repayment protection insurance as a condition of obtainingthe credit card
does not provide an advisory service
required you to positively confirm that you wished to purchased
this policy during the online application
povided full terms and conditions of the policy and requested you read them before submitting
put this complaint in 25 march 2011 and was put on hold so much for thinking i must have a good chance or it would have not been on hold!

so many success stories with egg lately but i get a no so disappointed suppose just need to go to fos queue

I am so sorry to hear of your bad news but this makes me think now that I am going to get the same response from them. They have been stalling since I sent mine in (early May). I just seem to get bad news all the time!! Are you taking it futher to the FOS?

I had my Claim upheld beginning of May with Northern Rock and MBNA.
Both Still haven't paid up

I signed my acceptance form for NRAM 16/5/11 and it went to head office. I phoned them on 9/6/11 to find out whats going on, only to be told it should of gone to the Leeds office as they refund the money but it was still sitting in a tray on the CaseHandlers desk, they did apologise and said and it would be dealt with straight away. I phoned the Leeds office today and had a really snooty women on the phoned that said "Do you know how many claims we deal with each day"???? I told her I just wanted to know if they had recieved mine and she told me possibly but she wasn't prepared to go through the 300 forms they had recieved yesterday and it will take a while. She kepy saying to me " I don't think people realise how busy we are ???
Thats fine but not really my problem. I also went on to tell her that I had a letter to tell me that my PPI was cancelled as from 1st June. On the 2nd of June my loan payment came out with PPI STILL on it.
So when I told her this and asked if I would get refund she told me it would have to be looked into !!
    It's sooooooooooooooo FRustrasting !!!!

Also Same with MBNA thats been upheld but told me today they have 25 pages of 300 names on each to deal with !!!

Yes that does help, thanks :)

I had a 3 year loan and the other was 3 years and 6 months so I assume the PPI covered the full duration of these loans. How do you know if the cover runs out before the loan or if it runs full term? :)
Usually with loans of up to five years the ppi covers for the whole term, long loans like 10-25 years(secured sometimes) only usually cover for the first five years but you pay the money back over the whole term.
There was a story in here about a guy who's 15/20 yr loan for £50000 had ppi which only covered him for the first five years but the ppi +interest added up to about £40,000, unbelievable!
Thanks to all the competition posters.
