    Hi Di,

Any idea if the Barclays announcement today, applies to First Plus Customers as well. Fingers crossed, as my claim has been on hold since November and asked for an update via letter three weeks ago, which they have failed to agknowledge or reply to.
    Regards,
    Trigspur
I dont think so, as FP are just an umbrella company, on the FPC website one FP customer has been told it will be months with these ppi as they need staff and new software:eek::eek:
What a load of old tosh :D:D:D You never know, Barclays may just tell FP to pay up.

    Hi honey :D
On the other site, someone who has a case with FP contacted Barclays today and said this rule stands for FP as well, so hopefully this is right.
    Fingers crossed.;)

Oh I hope you are right Di - the only problem I have with this is the fact that we inocently used a claims company for this one before I found this site!!!

I think mine went in before 20th April too so fingers crossed!!

Thanks for a bit of light at the end of a very long dark tunnel!!

some good news this morning from mbna regards my abbey credit card they have upheld in my favour and agree i was miss sold the ppi insurance policy and they are refunding my money :)

    break down as follows

total amount of ppi charged since sale of card £292.82

total amount of interest associated with ppi premiums £852.82

    8% amount £0.00 :(

    total = £1145.64 :):):)

no 8% interest would it be worth taking this to the ombudsman or would it be such a small amount that it just wouldnt be worth it and if going to the ombudsman and they have agreed that it was miss sold would they award the 8%

they are putting it towards my balance owed which is a good thing because it will send my monthly crippling payments down and i wont waste it on buying something lol

a huge thank you to di and amersall and everyone else who has helped and offered help to me your all a fantastic bunch :)

i originaly put my complaint in around the 18th of may 2011

just gotta hope for a good result from the other 4 now :)

and to everyone else it can be done so sit tight and get back whats yours!!!

I'm a bit confused (and perhaps a bit hopeful at the same time) as I have a claim in with M&S for mis-sold credit card PPI which when I added them all up from the statements they sent me amounted to around £1300. I assumed that if it was upheld then I would just get that back, so if £293 can turn into £1145, then would I be looking for more than that if it was upheld?

Well done on your pay-out by the way!

    Regards
