PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Another success here, I put a complaint in over the telephone to Santander for mis sold PPI on a loan on the same day as my mortgage complaint but for some reason it was missed. I called again yesterday and they took all the details down and called me this morning to say that they will be refunding all of the premiums + 8%!!! - Santander really seem to be churning out their complaints at record speed!!!0

One thing to watch I received nearly 18000 from Lloyds TSB for mis-sold PPI I cleared the debt to Lloyds and found a year later that debt was still registered as unsatisfied, has been corrected now but still damaged my credit. Please make sure you check everything when you win. Lloyds paper work stated they would inform credit agency but they did not.0

I have just found out about a car loan that my husband had with Black Horse. I have the dates, this was started on 21/4/2003 and settled on 23/4/2007. He cannot remember whether he took out PPI insurance on this loan or not - I also have, what I think is, the last 4 digits of the account number. If you were him would you write asking if he had PPI or just send off one of the FOS forms.
Also whilst he was looking for the original agreement which he was convinced he still had (he obsessively throws everything away) we found a booklet from Creditcare Silver from another car loan that we took out 11/1/1999. This gives us the details of the policy number and the finance company - Forthright Finance, dates, etc. Does anyone think it would be worth sending this off too? We should never have been given PPI as we both got paid from work if we were off sick or illm, etc. If so does anyone have any information on Forthright Finance please or any advice?

thank you
I will do that right now!!0 -
Hi,
I sent a letter (using the MSE template) to MBNA asking for the credit agreement for a personal loan I took out with them, which I eventually paid in full in 2008. I don't have any paperwork, other than a letter from 2008 stating the loan had been paid. However, I'm certain I was charged PPI, although I don't have the original agreement.
This morning I received a letter from MBNA confirming the loan had been paid in full, the account was closed and "as such, (by virtue of section 77(3) (a)) section 77(1) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 does not apply".
What does this mean? Where do I go from here? Is it MBNA's way of stalling? Any help/advice would be gratefully received as I'm unsure what to do now? This is my first post on MSE.
Many thanks.0
